tbh Adam, I had the same concern after I watched the last Eddie Howe pre-match press conference. I think it was a question about Wilson's availability from Craig Hope and it was the abrupt matter in which Howe answered the question regarding Wilson absents which made me think that he was pIssed off with the reasoning Wilson had given to not being able to play. It reminds me of another Michael Owen all over again

What is strange is both him and Isak were in training just before the Brighton game and were in great spirits. And since then Callum has not been seen and Isak has been out of sorts. It must be clearly an illness they are struggling with. There is nothing to suggest from the training footage that would create such a dramatic absence.

I think it’s possible he is not rushing to get back but the evidence is there that he is ill. Isak is not 100% and missed training because he was ill and no one will work closer to him than Wilson because he plays in the same position. Chances are they have the same bug. I love Wilson and thankful for him. But we need someone in the club that is consistently available.

The way this season has panned out, I will now take Conference league all day long. Yes, it’s not the most glamorous European competition to be in, but it still brings in much needed extra revenue. Plus, if we’re honest with ourselves, the Conference league is our level of European football until we can strengthen our squad with more depth. The Champions league has proven itself to be too much for us right now. I think the Europa league would be the same. Just get it done. Finish 7th and then watch Man U lose the cup final (which will most probably happen)

Wilson in his last game was not happy he did not take the pen. He put Isak off me think and something must have happened afterwards. He did not turn up for training after that and i think he won't play for Newcastle again. It would be nice if he left on a positive note but if he decided not to play in the last 2 big games for the club knowing he's moving, I would be very disappointed in him. Eddie said it in the pre match conf 2 games ago, Wilson did not turn up for training.
