It's also something your body can absorb through the skin if you (or your children) don't like to swallow vitamins. Dr. Jesse Jory, acupuncturist and medical herbalist, shares his simple recipe to make magnesium oil at home. We love to spray it on the bottoms of our feet before bed. Calm your nervous system, improve your sleep, and smell good while you're at it with this soothing oil.

Everyone in the USA should be using magnesium oil (lotion) regularly since mg is deficient in most of us. I love your addition of the essential oils and am going to try your recipe!

I heard there’s a difference between Magnesium Chloride and Magnesium chloride Hexahydrate. I heard the MCH is not that good to make your oil. How much of that is true because most flakes are MCH not MC

⁠@@Prodigalson55no. Magnesium comes in different forms. Just like dogs, some are herders, some are defensive, some are hunters etc. There are different types of magnesium. If you search “Magnesium Chart” you should be able to easily find a chart that lists the different types and uses.

No, it likes to separate. It requires an emulsifier and in any case you'll be making a lotion or gel - not a spray.

It seems like most people who make homemade magnesium oil boil their water first even if they use distilled water or purified water, not tap water. I have pure magnesium powder and it dissolves in water ( cold or room temperature) easily. I’m just wondering why they still boil their distilled water ( not tap water ) when their magnesium flakes dissolve easily without boiling....

Try it on your feet, a small area, at night 🌙 You sleep well and get max absorption bc your feet have more pores than Any other area of you body ❤

Yes, it's a crying shame that you have to resort to bathing in it. So the difference between standing under the shower and spraying on Mag oil made with tap water is...? That's right - the Magnesium.

@@parkinglotstriping9800 boiling water eliminate a % of the chlorine. It does not reduce any of the other poisons in tap water, especially that chemical biowaste called fluoride

Essential oils are not water soluble and any cosmetic formulation that contains water Must have a preservative added to it and you call yourself a doctor??? joke would be more appropriate. Now let's fix the formulation: add polysorbate as a binder for oil and water and add also a preservative at under one percent of the total weight of the formulation. You welcome

Magnesium Chloride does not need a preservative. It will prevent mold and bacteria growth.

@menoford7349 I agree. I have been using it for a decade & never needed a preservative. Why would anyone add extra unnecessary ingredients?!
