Ps. Paul, I live off the verse by verse book by book teaching you have taught me and in that it created a deep desire to learn the Word of God because I started understanding it. Personally, I am not into devotionals (just me!!). I far rather learn the history, the context of scripture and get understanding even in genealogies because it like watching a stage be set up for the most wonderful non fiction story from beginning to end. I love the OT so much whereas I never knew anything except the popular "stories" and avoided what I previously viewed as boring and irrelevant. You and Sue have helped me gain a clear and proper understanding because everything is connected and points to Jesus, tells about Jesus, reflects Jesus and then [drum roll] He is manifest in this world! Born,lives,walks, teaches, proving all that was foretold, He is, then crucified, dies, is resurrected, ascends. He was. He is to come! It's is wonderful and exciting from start to finish.
