The Houston Rockets defeat the Toronto Raptors, 135-106. Cam Whitmore (career-high 25 points, 6 rebounds) and Amen Thompson (career-high 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) led Houston while Alperen Sengun had a great performance with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists as Immanuel Quickley added 25 points and a season-high 6 3PT FGs. Houston moves to 23-25 as the Raptors move to 17-31.

Amen is an unbelievable passer. He's a shot away from being a monster. Watching Kuminga unlock his midrange in year 3 would be a good start for Amen. This has to be his real summer project. He doesn't have to be a sniper just serviceable.

@@meetdavid2024Westbrook’s build is what kinda limited him since he already wasn’t a gifted shooter , that’s like with Desmond bane he’s a natural shooter so his build doesn’t affect him as much… amen can definitely develop a shot if he works at it and perfects his form

3:57 Cam with the showtime! 🤩 Green was visibly smiling after he flushed that absolute dime. Also the Rockets Craig Ackerman is one of the best announcers in the business. One of the few announcers that also does a great job when talking/calling the other team and their playing. Ryan Hollins also brings a lot of joy to his color work. He seems to certainly be having some fun!

Jalen isn't going anywhere. Rockets fans always try to pit these guys against one another when in reality we can keep them all and contend in the near future. Trading any of them would be dumb, especially with the new cap rules that reward teams who build organically through the draft. Sit back and root for all of them.

I didn’t say to trade him. If the return is right then I would but he’s still a decent player. But Jalen is taking minutes away from Cam and Amen though, who both look like they are better right now IMO. They need more minutes. They play better defense, seem to have a higher IQ of the game, and offensively look more mature. I’d use Jalen as the sixth man spark instead of starting five rotation. Jalen has flashes but then makes a rookie mistake or poor shot selection. He needs to sit down with a scoring vet and learn how to properly be an offensive threat. He still plays like it’s open gym way too often.

Cam falling in the draft was the best thing for the Rockets they not only got him with a steal but they got a good project in amen because if he finds any type of consistent shot midrange or 3 then the league in trouble.

They should be, start your entire under 25 guys, go Jalen cam ameen, Jabari, sengun. Keep Eason keep Dillon, get rid of Fred’s contract for picks or young guys. Your roster is as talented as that okc team is, they just need experience and you only get that from playing

To me, Cam is sorta like a slightly smaller Carmelo...but slightly better on defense and not nearly as prolific on offense....yet. 😎 He's basically Melo meets Jimmy Butler.

0:11 The difference between Sengun and Jalen.. Sengun got trapped and he passed the ball. On next play, Jalen got trapped and he forced the shot still. And this is why Houstonians want to trade him. To be fair, 2:01 Jalen gave this nice dish to Amen.
