We were in Siam Reap in week 52 of 2023. At that time it was very warm, 34 degree Celsius. I can not imagine how hot it is now!

Interesting that PP seems to need a Pub Street when Sisowath already has plenty of bars & restaurants. Although the coffin shop and marine engine spares shop are somewhat lacking in entertainment value!

So that is interesting. Start an hour earlier. I noticed there was not the usual school traffic when I went to school at 7.am today. Khmer kids don’t miss school because of the ever present threat of poor grades - exams every 6 weeks. I feel for them!

Cambodian government or provincial should install water mist like other nation during the hot day like in Key West, FL during my last visited. I saw they spayed the water on the root and poured the water in the class. It is a primitive way of cooling.

@@ForRiel G'Day to yooos 2 , Yes totally agree ! but on the walks that i have done around here it does look cleaner , in the touristy area def needs more than a clean up and a coat of paint , plus a change of attitude towards the high traffic area , (proper pavement cleaning) , now thats a discussion in itself , hope your enjoying your day... Can you suggest a guesthouse in siem Reap? I'm finally arriving in July, and I've decided on Siem Reap after much deliberation. I would like to start out in a guesthouse while I get my bearings and start looking for a permanent apartment. You mentioned a guesthouse that you had stayed at that sounded nice, and reasonably affordable, but now I can't find the video it was in? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the videos!

@@michaelnichols7007 It depends on what you want to spend, though many get an apartment within days. I stayed in the Dusit hotel, about 25usd per night, you can get much cheaper, on google maps you have an option when you go to SR to click the hotels button and slide the $ scale to what you can afford. Most are clean and well managed.. check reviews

I dont know why regions such as southeast asia, the government of those countries arent building public swimming pools all over their country? Limited water resources and lack of management maybe the reasons.. but it would be cool if the respective leaders of each southeast asian country collaborate on a massive water project to combat the all year round heatwave. Having people go to the childrens school and hose them down with water seem silly to me. More recreational spaces are needed with access to public pools.

Public pools are great, and learning to swim is a wonderful life skill that can be incorporated. There are a couple of pools in Siem Reap but they are businesses, not a community resource. Thanks for watching!
