If you are shopping for a good turntable in this price range and could care less about Bluetooth, there are probably better choices out there. Not by a mile, but this price range is very competitive with a lot of great turntables. However, the Alva TT V2 sounds surprisingly good for a Bluetooth turntable, by far the best we have heard. We feel for the user who wants something built like a tank, that is simple to set up, and very easy to use (once you pair the Bluetooth), it is the best in that class. So if you have a great pair of Bluetooth speakers and just want to add vinyl, it is a pretty cool way to go. Or if you wanted to roam around your house listening to vinyl using wireless headphones, then settle down with your system, it can do both, and in that regard, nothing can touch it. Then when you add in the fact, this is a high-performance turntable that requires no finicky set up, you have something very appealing for someone who just wants to know it works the way it should.

I love the fact that Cambridge gives you a high end MC cartridge in the box. That is almost unheard of at this price point.

I'd better pay less for a model with ortofon red mm for instance instead of such high price and MC cartridge.

The lack of height adjustment is one of the biggest concerns, and the pairing of headphones able to stream through Bluetooth at the highest quality is another. Overall seems very promising!

Yes, you need to stick with cartridges that are the same height if you upgrade, but the included Alva MC is a very good one, we feel most people will stick with it. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments!

How would you say the Alva 2 stacks up to the Technics 1200gr in quality? I had to return (different dealer) a 1500c a few years ago that had a warped platter. I know the 1200 is built to better spec, but I still feel a little nervous about it. The Alva looks well built in its own right, and I like that it's a DD with its own aesthetic and doesn't mimic a Technics. More understated yet stylish. Anyway, I bought a pair of R700 towers from y'all over the winter and love them. Thanks for your time.

So the default catridge is MC, not MM? Doesnt it limit our options as most catridge replacements are MM? Or can it still take MM as well?

Yes, it comes with an MC cartridge and a built in phono preamp (that you can defeat) that is made for the MC cartridge. But you could swap it for a MM cartridge if you wanted. It has a universal headshell. Thanks for watching

Thank you, this one works very well www.audioadvice.com/audioengine-b1-bluetooth-music-receiver-black, but we are not sure why you would need it as your Denon has Bluetooth built in. You should be able to sync the Alva TT V2 directly to the Bluetooth in your Denon. Thanks for watching

Buchardt A500’s, JEF LS50 Wireless or with my setup my Marantz Amp will accept Bluetooth connections. This looks great for me!

Nice turntable, it only cost $2,000. Just got a headache. Years ago, I purchased excellent turntables with the same specs, same type of cartridges for around $150-200. This is crazy, spending this kind of money on a name. Give me a break.

While inflation has taken its toll on the cost of things you must be talking 50 years ago and even then turntables like this and a good high output moving coil cartridge would run $500-700. Some of us who work here were in the business back then :) Thanks for watching

I would have thought a smarter move is to get a better turntable without Bluetooth and get an amplifier with Bluetooth.

That would not allow you to transmit from the turntable to a Bluetooth device though like a pair of BT speakers, but if you have separate components, you are right.

@@AudioAdvice not the same though is it? Even the speaker connectors on the 2 I have had so far, we’re not lined up straight. I have a set of old quads which were made in Cambridge they have straight posts. Cambridge has been the home of many leading brands, well known for quality for decades. Using that association and having an office in London and a factory in China banging out electronics with bent connectors and rubbish radio reception seems unethical to me. It should be called London marketing but made in China. That would be more honest.
