In this video I give a brief rundown of the Leica M7, and touch on a few ways it differs from the M6. After a lot of soul (and camera) searching, this may be my favorite body yet.

Used to watch your videos years ago, I hope you come back and make more videos. I always wanted an M7 and took me years to talk myself into getting one, now Im really enjoying it alot more than I thought I would.

prior to purchasing my first Leica film camera m2, I took pride in being a purist. But it turned out I recently have grown tired of metering the scene myself, as it can be exhausting and ultimately takes the enjoyment of shooting photograph. To conclude, I think I will get a m7 later this year. possibly in silver chrome colour.

Hello Nate! nice video, good to know the differences from the M6. Saw your listing on the FB group... (by the way would love to buy that Nokton 35mm from you if wasn't the fact I live in Brazil) you decided to sell the M7 and keep the M6? I'm an old time subscriber from the PDX channel and hope you keep making videos.

Rod Silva had to make a car purchase, and while I like the 7 better the 6 has more emotional attachment and was worth more.

I've just ordered an M7. Do you need to set the exposure compensation for the entire roll or like with a digital can you use it only for one or two frames when needed?

Seriously? I'm terrified that you have just bought an actual Leica M7 - and yet you don't know the answer to this. Anyone who has ever shot any film camera ever would know the answer to this. Wow.

Hi good video. How are the Canadian Leitz lenses compared to the German lenses. They are significanly cheaper?

They're a bit cheaper, and I find them to be just as good. There are some purists out there who will say otherwise, but I tend to ignore them.

I would like to know, why is any Leica film camera special? It's all about the film that you load that produce colours and picture quality. (Unlike colour science logic with digital cameras). Based on the film quality you should get colours on any camera right!??

4:40 If you're using 400TX and shoot at El160 and have it pushed develop,,,, you'd put set the dial at 400 and go minus 2 stops at exp, compensation, not plus 2 stops... and,,, M7s aren't made with brass... Only the black enamel paint versions offered as an M7 a la carte models ( s/n 3009---- ) are made with brass bodies..
