Some nice "bee-roll" in this video. Also, the 100-400 looks fine until you see the Leica 200mm footage - then you just can't go back! That heron footage was amazing.

Solid testing, nice work! Really good examples and great looking results. I do like that Leica 200 2.8 - I once took it on a safari and ended up never taking it off!

I may trade in my R7 towards this. I really hated shooting full frame for wildlife hence the R7 but I just find this G9II so much more versitile. It's hard to explain the benefits of these smaller sensors but for me it's all about being able to balance my love of photo/ video with my love of exploring the outside world. Huge lenses & cameras made that experience miserable. Very impressed with this.

It makes no sense that I patiently watched this whole thing. I couldn't explain to someone what I just watched, but I was so engaged the whole time, I didn't even really notice the time passing. Every time you said "Panny boy," my smile increased by 10%. Ah, what the heck, subscribed.

I’m sold. I definitely want a LUMIX G9II. 4K 120 with stability is all I’ve ever wanted for wildlife. I’m going to wait for the price to come down a bit.

Wonderful review. I do bird photography and just want to take photos that allow reviewers to identify my bird to their satisfaction. ( They don’t believe me if I only send a perfect written description of the bird). I think, therefore, that the 100-400 with a 1.4x will be good for certain shots, and I will get an identifiable shot due to the amazing reach of the 100-400 with 1.4x conv. - even if the photo has some flaws).

I used to own the Panasonic 50-200 Leica it’s a great lens that has that sharpness and quality the 200 prime has but it’s half the weight at 650 grams and with the option of zooming out. Goes for $1,000 used.
