@@RobertsPianosHouston Hi Evan, thanks, yes doing fine over here in the Golden State . . . I’ve worked on several, done a couple hammer set replacements, rebuilt a bridge, replaced a set of bass strings etc. There’s some info on the brands around online. The sizes can be great of course as they’re super-uprights often, at 56” plus. I voice new hammer sets with deep needling starting with 1/8” jabs and working to nearly 1/4” jabs on both shoulders. I’ve just used hard no name “German tech” inexpensive hammers off eBay but they seem decent quality. Also I’ve put bigger dampers on, in a specific area that doesn’t dampen well. I think your old world sensibilities seem perfect for bringing the heritage to new audiences. I’m sure you’ll see interest.
