All amazing tips! 22 was also our 2nd year camping and everything you mentioned is spot on. We're also in our 30s-40s, and Thursday absolutely kicked our ass. I would highly suggest bringing a small umbrella or parasol when standing in the checkout line, or at least a pashmina to cover your head/neck when in the sun. The heat is no joke out there, so stay hydrated. See you all in the Mesa this year!

Highly recommend checking into camp first (if you are in a tent) and then going back to the car to grab your stuff. Otherwise you have to drag it through the rocky check in lines which was a huge pain

Are there power strips at camp that I would be able to use for hair tools? I like to straighten my hair for festivals and I know I'm gonna want to touch it up or shower and straighten it again it while at camp.

Yes! there was a tent that had a get ready area that we brought all our makeup and tools into.

what do you recommend for bringing a wagon but flying into vegas? we have a legit metal one that we wont be able to fly with :( getting one from walmart if they have them maybe??

Yep exactly! We flew into Vegas and then did a big walmart run. Just make sure you place a pick up order in advance so they have inventory. Otherwise you could ask to borrow from people!

i just bought a VIP pass to the EDC 2024 festival but how do i reserve a camping pod ? is there another EDC alert to purchase a pod later on? clarification needed please. update: i just looked on reddit and camping pods would go on sale in either October or December of 2023. nobody on youtube who went to EDC shared this information

@@marianateran6589 at least i secured my festival pass. the EDC website is not like Coachella website where everything you have to buy (ticket, camping, shuttles, etc) is all there. EDC made me think i missed out on a camping pass. i have to wait for the next EDC notification sometime in October or December to make another purchase for the camping pod and parking pass

Are we allowed to access our cars in the parking lot whenever we need to? We are hoping to use the car to store our luggage and to be able to make food trip before checking in.

yeah you can go back out to your car if you need something - it may just be a far walk from your shiftpod depending on where you tent ends up!

Is it difficult to try and shower at camp edc? Is there a better time during the day that’s less busy?

I would either go super early in the morning or maybe try for late afternoon when people are at the pool parties or heading into the fest!

Just make sure you don’t bring a bunch of other luggage or things inside the tent; otherwise your 2 mattresses won’t fit. I think 1 queen air mattress is perfect.

I see everywhere to bring a collapsible wagon! I really want to take one but I don't how to fit it in my luggage to fly 😥 I've thought about ubering out to get one but it would add more time and I don't know how I would fly back with it. Any tips?

Are you flying into Vegas on Thursday and going straight to camp? I would personally Uber to a Walmart when you get into Vegas anyway just to pick up any supplies/food/drinks you’ll need. Place an order ahead of time for pick up because items will be running very low. Find an affordable wagon if you can to bring and unfortunately you’ll probably have to leave it behind or give it to a neighbor.

@@EmmaKapotes what do you prefer for EDC week day? DayClubs or the nightclubs? Also, do you find the clubs in Vegas seem to be a little more strict and rude for no reason. For instance, I used to go to Miami(mmw) like every year before the pandemic and I’ve never had an issue compared to the issues I’ve encountered in Vegas. Ultimately, I’m just figuring out if it’s worth it to check out an EDC week.

Is PayPal goods and services okay if you’re staying with ppl in an rv trying to make sure I can get my money back if it’s not legit.

@@lizgonzalez9174 Usually paypal is good! You could always do a deposit and pay half to get your ticket and pay the other half the weekend of the event if they're cool with that?

Can you describe a bit more in detail the shower/bathroom situation in camp? Is it just portables for the bathrooms? Are there enough showers and is it fairly clean and easy to shower there?

@@user-pg8zu9jy4l I think it depends on where you are in camp, but the bathrooms had some buildings with stalls and some porta potty areas. Closer to the mesa activities were more banks of porta pottys! Showers were in trailer bathrooms!

Do you think if we mist the floor with water in the tent and having the AC aimed downward it would help cool the tent?

Possibly! I didn’t have the AC when I did the tent but I think it helps a lot

It may help but I think it'll cause it to be humid in the tent especially if it's particularly hot that day and there's no wind for ventilation.

@@merissaanaya7857ou can only leave the camp parking lot by uber or rideshare, your car is stuck for the weekend. the free nightly parking lots have to be cleared out by 8am so be aware of that
