I was in the WHC choir the morning he preached. (I'm located on the top row in the right side facing the platform.) It was a pleasure seeing a man of God such as Oral Roberts ministering God's Word to us. :-)

I believe in Miracles, my life is a miracle.

My Great grandfather was saved watching Dr. Oral Roberts on tv back in the 1950s.

The amazing thing was the blind man, Bartimaeus was he shouted louder prompted by his faith that The Lord Jesus is The Promised Son of David, The Messiah. The blind man cried for Mercy. When he was told by the people to keep quiet, he shouted all the more for The Lord Jesus to hear him more because he wanted to experience the Mercy of The Son of David. Amazing the more we believe in Jesus and the more we cry louder for Mercy, the more The Lord Jesus will stop and hear our cry of faith. It is amazing that the Compassion and Kindness of The Lord Jesus, asking the blind man, " What can I do for you? Thank you Lord Jesus for You are so Merciful and Compassionate and Faithful. You stop by to give our needs because you are so Merciful, Full of Grace and Truth. Hallelujah to The Messiah! to The Son of God! to The Son of David! Amen!

My cousins and I used to pass hours playing Oral Roberts on our front lawn making up a range of disabilities and stories to accompany the 'affiliations'. Following our stories, our cousin Jay would play Oral and place his hands on the head of whomever turn it was, and say 'Heal!" with great gusto. These are some of my fave 50's memories as well as playing Queen for A Day, in which we got to use our youthful creativity again to make up stories and move on to another easier world.
