Just a couple clarifications for those who are looking: Lamphere is open pre-rally, they have dates, availability and cost on all their website. Ride N Rest is a great campground. They have an amazing cook every year, fabulous steak dinner. They don’t have site info and cost on their website, but they respond to text and IM.

When it gets closer you should go out to the Sturgis airport and ask for Roger and do a discovery flight and get an aerial view of the road construction on Hwy 385.

@@bobandtams I do. He’s the airport manager and also owns/operates the local Mx and flight operation on the field. He’s a great guy. A younger couple just purchased the operation in Spearfish (Eagle Aviation) that I’ve used before I’m sure they’d be willing to help you as well. I sold my plane or else I’d just rip out there one day and take you around. I’ll reach out to Roger and email you the details.

I'll be their on the 29th! I take it because you havent said about cabins. They all gone? I buddy of mine goes on a bunch of gravel roads with outstanding views but he has a trike. A local campground host takes him

One campground you didn't talk about was Steel Pony, what is your thoughts of that campground? Thanks

It's in the old FTS site. They have a pool, a shuttle to the Iron Horse, and it's close to town. They are owned by the same people that run the Iron Horse Saloon. We have driven through there. I guess I still think about it as the FTS site, why I never think of staying there. I've never heard anything bad about it.

Since we can’t stay at Glencoe, can we buy the 8-hour $25 day pass without knowing anyone who’s camping there? It sounds like you can only buy the pass if you are visiting someone camping there.
