"Hello, I am Saccone Samuele, as you can see. This is my new Jimny, and I'm an Off-Road enthusiast, as you can tell by how I've prepared it for medium-difficulty off-road excursions of moderate duration. I searched various online platforms for a tent that suited my needs. I wanted one that was as lightweight and compact as possible, preferably enclosed in a rigid structure to allow for navigating wooded areas with potential sharp obstacles that could severely damage a regular rooftop tent. I'm talking about the new tent from the main manufacturer, called ezunstuck.
Now, let me show you the opening system of this beautiful tent. This rooftop tent is the only one in the world closed within an entirely aluminum structure, providing maximum compactness and lightness. It measures only 148 cm in width, 118 cm in length, and is merely 12 cm high. This sets it apart from other rooftop tents with traditional book-style openings, which are enclosed in an eco-leather cover at least 25 cm high, double the height. The reduced height leads to decreased air friction and, of course, better vehicle fuel efficiency during urban and highway driving.
The tent structure is 100% waterproof, thanks to rubber seals, and it's closed using four quick-release stainless steel hooks. There's one in the front, one in the rear, and two on each side, depending on how the tent is mounted. Another fantastic feature of this tent is its book-style opening system, which allows it to open in less than 30 seconds using the telescopic ladder. The ladder hooks are also made of stainless steel, preventing rust and ensuring quick and easy setup.
The telescopic ladder adapts to any type of terrain and incline, thanks to the adjustable steps. The steps have been widened to facilitate entry and exit from the tent. When open, the tent measures 210 cm in length, 128 cm in width, and the interior height is approximately one meter.
Another interesting aspect is the stainless steel parabolic rods that slide forward inside a channel to determine the tension for opening the tent. The base of the tent, as mentioned before, is entirely made of aluminum but is reinforced with a stainless steel frame.
I was also impressed by the quality of the fabrics. The tent withstood three days of heavy rain and storms perfectly. The fabric has a hydrostatic head of 20,000 mm, and the floor is made of 100% nylon, making it completely waterproof. The tent has two openings, one at the front and one at the rear, along with two convenient side windows that provide excellent lighting and a 360-degree view. All windows are equipped with mosquito nets. Additionally, there's a fixed window inside the tent, which promotes excellent ventilation and eliminates condensation.
To reduce the tent's height when closed, there's a 2cm thick mattress inside, which surprisingly is very comfortable. The quality of the materials, including the heat-sealed seams, speaks for itself, and ezunstuck never disappoints. In the lower part of the tent, they've created drainage holes for perfect water drainage during heavy rain.
The tent comes with two 100% waterproof bags, which can be attached using steel carabiners. These bags are used to store shoes when the tent is mounted, and the laces prevent water from getting in. Closing the tent is straightforward: extend the telescopic ladder to its maximum length and then fold it back upon itself. After that, you can store the ladder inside your car using the available channels and steel bolts. You can attach straps and containers for a long-duration camping experience.
I wanted to make this short video to share the quality of this tent that amazed me during various weather conditions on my beautiful adventures. Bye, guys! See you next time."
