I’ve never been to the travertine pools in my 60 years of camping the eastern Sierra. And , good to know about the dispersed camping. Don’t forget to pick up after your dog. Not good to leave it out there. Thanks for the video.

I never ever gassed up in Bridgeport. The most expensive gas between Mojave and Reno

Your video popped up and it was perfect to watch tonight. I love the Sierras SR 395 i think its time for a couple of days up there and throw out a lure or two at my favorite fishing spots. And check out that Owen's river road area maybe kick back for a couple hours. And continue the drive north towards Reno🤔 Feeling a little Cabin fever coming on 🤒. I Will be viewing some more of the videos. ✌️out & Safe travels.

You should have driven the loop & saw the massive water fall with the Big Melt we have due to the Heavy snow Fall from this winter

I have subscribed! You have an excellent way of enunciating, elaborating/describing what you have seen. You're videos are very well edited and have excellent content. Thank you and your husband for taking me along your journey down highway 395. It is one of my personal greats since I spent years there in early '60's as a child. Now, of-course life has changed there too, with many more people esp through social media having discovered the local scene. I keep my "fingers crossed" the new generation tries to keep these treasures trash free. Thank you. A+

Oh my! Your words are so uplifting and definitely inspire me to keep doing this KZfaq thing. I have faint memories of traveling 395 with my parents on road trips when I was a child in the 70s. That is one of the reasons I enjoy traveling along the Eastern Sierra scenic byway - personal nostalgia. So I totally understand your love of it and wanting it to remain pristine and respected by future generations. I would like to go back to 395 more often as it has a special magical quality that feeds my soul. I also love the beautiful mountain passes that branch off of it. Thank you so much for subscribing, and I hope I will produce more videos that make you feel this way. 😊

I can not agree with you more.........In fact, I agree with you 100%. My parents escaped the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 and had a legal admit into the States. They had a family friend as well who was also an emigrant from Hungary, having escaped Soviet Communist tyranny. A long story short,..........their friends had a small "take out" called "The Shack" in Mammoth when they had only one ski lift in operation (1961). As a family, we went there and to the Bishop area, spent many years there during my early childhood. It is a magical place, where hot springs abound, where the White Mountains and the Sierra's meet the high desert - a spectacular area for an outdoorsman/woman. Like you, I have lots of fond memories of the area and I will be back perhaps in January/February to escape Washington's cold spell as a "snow bird" with my four legged wonder; Kodiak. A Bella Bella Canadian wolf dog. Thank you for all you and your husband do here. Please keep posting away. "5 Stars"............@@NixAdventrex

It really was. Especially considering we saw SO MANY other people camping in the area. BUT there are so many camp spots and very well spread-out. You can be isolated and have that peacefulness you mentioned.

I absolutely love the town of Bridgeport and Bodie! Stayed in the Bodie hotel many years ago. I am doing another trip up that way this summer and I plan on doing some dispersed camping in places I have always driven by but never camped at. I not only have Travertine Hot Springs on the list, but Fales as well. I saw all the cars, but the pool was empty. How crowded was it?

We have 2 way radios, like "walkie talkies" which we use to communicate with when take 2 cars on a road trip. Much better than using a cell phone.

Owens River Road is close to Mammoth Lakes right off of US 395. I don’t remember our exact camping spot, but there are LOADS of dirt roads that splinter off of Owens River Road where you can camp. And it’s quite spread out so you won’t be on top of other campers. I have Google coordinates to where Owens River Road and US 395 meet: maps.app.goo.gl/iKJNN7QBcopDaG5CA?g_st=ic
