In this video I go for a camping adventure at the Midmar Dam at Howick near Pietermaritzburg in South Africa. It was a great place to camping with stunning views of the Dam in the background. I had a pleasant night here even thou we are starting to head into winter in South Africa.
I did some exploring of the Dam and found lots of boats anchored in the waters. Apart from camping there was also chalets that people could pay to stay in. I did not go into the chalets but I would like to try it one day as a comparison to camping at the dam. There were also many picturesque spots around the dam where families could have picnic's or spend the day relaxing at the dam.
For supper I cooked a favourite of mine which was lamb chops in a chutney and I also tried out a new beer for me. If you would like to make this at home you can follow the method I used to make it.
All in it was a relaxing night with great views, the next morning I had to get up early because I wanted to attend the Royal show which was held in Pietermaritzburg. So that it where I ended the video.
