This week we hit the road to cooler temps in Prescott Arizona! ..or at least tried to :) Prescott Arizona is a 4 hour drive from Las Vegas, surrounded by tall trees, cooler temps, lakes and great bars and breweries! This was our first time checking out Prescott and we had a blast!
After exploring the town we tried to camp out in some of the designated dispersed camp spots available around town BUT had a hard time finding an available spot (shame on us for not grabbing a spot early on especially on Memorial Day weekend lol). Dispersed camping around Prescott was very specific, dispersed camping was labeled by designated markers (which was odd). So we ended up getting a hotel at a La Quinta in Prescott which was actually a GREAT hotel (rooms budded up against big lawn areas that were dog friendly, they had a huge pool and a pretty good FREE breakfast setup in the morning). We spent the next day walking around Prescott and seeing more of what it had to offer, we then made our way back toward Vegas to find camp in Seligman AZ where the temps were still cool and found a very private dispersed campsite about 15 minutes from the main Seligman drag (where Historic Route 66 actually starts).
We camped for the night, had some reindeer dogs and I walk you guys through all the GFC accessories/add ons that we've added to the camper in preparation for our California road trip (videos to come soon)! We also got a replacement Dometic cooler! The next morning we wake up and go to breakfast at the Seligman Roadside Cafe (Great cafe with lots of things to see) the coffee and breakfast was amazing with great service!
