I am atheist but I love Cliffe. I have so much of Christ’s teachings in my family and I love and accept them. I find issues with the Church as a whole, and with sects of the faith that abuse the Bible for selfish gain or the spreading of hate. Cliffe does none of this, he is like my family. I always appreciate a religious person who can say that they are not sure if their actions will get them to heaven. It shows me that there is no ego in their actions, only a projection that their path will lead them to a life worth living and to their creator after the fact. He have no problems with that at all. If religion was explained more this way, I would probably be of the faith. Thanks Cliffe❤

Amen! What a great comment and point you make. I see exactly what you mean. The older I get and exposed to more modern faith movement(s) I too can see that we believers have done as much damage to the world's relationship with God as Lucifer has. Some of the most judgemental, cold, loveless people I've met were in church. Of course the inversion is true too; I've see/felt it. That's the mistake we as people make... we like to elevate others as if they have it all together, and when they let us down, their flaws exposed, it hits hard because we/they have been elevated to some non human standard. No person should be exalted, because we are all foul ups; from the Pope to the Mega Preachers to everyday people. The Bible teaches all are lost and need salvation, not just those people over there. Now throw in the additional dregs of fame, money, power, influence, etc. and you have a whole new ball game. I was saved by Jesus at the age of 4.5 when my mother accidentally ran me over with my dad's work van; all He said to me was don't worry, I'm with you... then it was over. And I came from a family where if you mentioned anything about God or faith you were knowingly starting a fight. Every time I tried to bring up this experience to them throughout the years, they wanted nothing to do with it; likely because of all the corruption, money grabbing, and lies they witnessed in the christian world, i.e., the Pops, Swaggerts, Bakers, etc., etc., etc... Great comment tho, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Cliffe's ministry, he's one of my favorites too. For what it's worth, God bless!

@pathofthegamer8590

Sinful only if we accept that there is some divine law. We must accept this as being true in order to consider an act as a sin. That being said, there is nothing but opinions on the subject and therefore the fact of sin is also just an opinion. There is certainly normative morality that is imposed on the individual by society, but we do not sin against society, rather, we grant society the right to dictate the terms of our interactions in exchange for its services. Where is this divine law that you speak of that compels me to repent?

He’s not arguing. We believe in the word of god, which is the Bible. The Bible tells us to preach the word of god, which is what he does. He’s not forcing it on to them either, he’s correcting their false beliefs about what we believe in. He’s not handcuffing them to a chair and forcing this stuff down their throat, they could walk away any time they want. But he’s giving them a chance yo hear about god, and he’s giving them a chance to live. If you or anyone else don’t believe, so be it. But this what we’re called to do.

Hello mdug, no one attacked anybody... jeez. He said you're a sinner like me, we're in the same boat. Funny tho, how you then immediately commence in belittling the Preacher's faith in his God... calling it "imagined." Pot, meet kettle... kettle, meet pot. It's called faith. A term not welcomed in the scientific community(s). If you can't taste it, touch it, smell it - prove it... it does not exist! No scientist will ever be able to measure, test for, or quantify the absolute existence of a creator outside our physical realm or dimension(s). Not a possibility. It's not possible to prove a spiritual, or out of our realm, entity with purely physical perception, reasoning, knowledge, understanding, tools, etc. If God Himself appeared to you tonight; shook your house apart, demanded you believe, and left you untouched in a pile of rubble; no one would believe you, for one, but there would be no way you could prove His existence afterward. FYI, I hold Atheists in very high regard, because they have at least looked into the matter of a God/Creator and said no thank you. I have no problem with these folks whatsoever and can live side by side with them no problem. You do your thing and I'll do mine. You tell me your thoughts and I'll yell you mine and we'll make up our own minds for ourselves. I pity those who are so wrapped up in everyday life, they never take the time to even look into the matter for themselves to make a decision one way or the other. In truth, everything is dying all around us... the fancy cars we drive, the home we live in, clothing, our relatives, friends, pets, galaxy, etc. Science will definitely interject concepts such as Noether's theorem on energy conservation, and how energy can not be created nor destroyed, ever. But poo poo any thought of an afterlife where one's energy or spirit might be transmitted to a continued existence in another realm. That's crazy talk and should be censured no doubt. And if anyone thinks that kind of thought is ignorant or impossible, so be it. That's their decision to make; I applaud it!

@darkenedskiesahead3670 he said, "... with your lifestyle." It was a direct ad hominem supposition. Backing up with a tu quoque doesn't undo it. His faith was not in point in this clip. @@germistoninternetcafe Great question! And a very difficult one to fathom... 1) Your role is to preach the Gospel of Christ as outlined in scripture. 2) Salvation comes through the power of the Holy Spirit, He does the drawing and convincing, not our preaching. 3) All we can do is share truth from scripture and rely on God's Holy Spirit to do the rest. Power comes from the Holy Spirit we're just the vessel... the same as a farmer uses a seed broadcaster to cast the seed, God uses us to cast the seed of the Gospel. Be lead of the Lord, don't worry about winning debates and arguing points. Just share the Lord's Word in love and temperance and rely on the Holy Spirit to use your voice. Those who do receive Christ usually only do so after many many knocks at their door before they finally open up to the Lord. Why did he ignore the question about all the contradictions in Bible?
@dansmith7009
@dansmith7009 7 ай бұрын
Because after centuries, Christians can’t reconcile the important ones. Like, when people arrived at the tomb, was the stone already rolled back, or did they have to roll it back? And who was at the tomb waiting for them? Important differences, which are all the more glaring when we know the synoptic gospels were copied from each other, with passages from Mark copied word for word into Matthew and Luke.

@@dansmith7009 I'm confused, by your assertion? For starters all four Gospels state that the stone had been rolled away before the mourners arrived, what is it you're having difficulties with? Also, yes, the Gospels are similar yet subtly different in places, as you would expect. If they weren't, then they'd be contractions! If they were exact copies, how would they be considered different? Mark is generally accepted as the oldest of the Gospels and it is believed by many that a lost Gosple referred to as the "Q Source" may have even predated Mark and it was one or both of these sources that Matthew and Luke relied on. Again what is your difficulty here? Each Gospel was written to a different intended audience so each does have a slightly different approach but these only compliment each other. Your "difficulties" aren't anything new and There are answers to every objection. These were easy, Throw a few more harder ones my way if you'd like, let's get to the bottom of this, if we may....

@@METVWETV you are wrong. Matthew 28:1-2: Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. They arrived, AND THEN the stone was rolled back. Also, who went to the tomb? Was it Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, those two and Salome, or those two, Joanna, and a group of other women? Was it two women, or a crowd of women? The q source is a post hoc explanation that there is very little evidence for, and scholars generally assume it to explain why there are passages that match between Matthew and Luke, but not mark. However Matthew and Luke definitely relied on mark, because there are passages that are directly copied word for word. So I don’t see a reason why it doesn’t make just as much sense for whichever was 3rd to have plagiarized from both of the first two, and therefore we don’t need to assume additional sources for no reason. I agree, each gospel was written to a different audience, so they took the original story and made more changes to it based on theological reasoning rather than facts. I would expect, if the gospels were independent stories, for them to match in important details, like how many people went, and if there was an earthquake that moved the stone after they arrived, even if there were differences like who it was that went.

The evidence is there and easy to find... if one seeks for it. After all, at the end of the day we are all held to account for ourselves against the truth, whether it be the nothingness science prescribes, Buddha, Allah, Jesus, money, etc. You can seek after the truth, play GTA all day, or say its all stupid and pursue stuff that just will end up in the trash one day, or chase a hobby, chase women who will soon be wrinkly grandmas, or whatever spins you crack. Although we're slowly loosing our freedoms on this planet, we're all given freewill in what to believe for ourselves... good luck.
