I have been impressed with the 1060 and i recently got a 1070 for super cheap that i recently made a video about. Both cards do great even though there a little older, but some games are getting a little to much for them. There is still a lot of games you can happily play on them and fully enjoy. Compared too the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GeForce GTX 1060

The GTX 1060 is an excellent graphics card, and I recently acquired a GTX 1070 for just $80 here in the United States. I believe the GTX 1060 will also be a worthwhile investment, considering its price. However, its performance will depend on the games you play. If you're not playing the latest AAA titles, you should still be satisfied with its capabilities. The only potential limitation for older cards like the GTX 1060 is the increasing demand for more VRAM in newer games at this time. Nevertheless, it's worth noting that many of these older cards are still receiving driver updates, which is a positive sign. In my opinion, the GTX 1060 should still have a few more years of life left, depending on the games you're trying to play, as I mentioned earlier. Thank you for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been testing a GTX 1070 that I plan on making a video about next, and some spoilers: I've been playing the new Hogwarts Legacy game for days on it, pushing it. Don't get me wrong, I'm only running medium settings with motion blur off, but it holds the 60 fps with an occasional hitch now and then, mostly when loading in big cut scenes with a lot of characters in one frame. But overall, it's been pleasantly playable. Thanks again for your comment.

You had a steal. I've recently purchased a 3060ti for 470 gbp and compared to the 1060gb (270gbp) I had it's a ball ache. Constantly have to fiddle with settings in 4k and even in lower res for ray tracing when playing every game yet the 1060 in 1080p, was flawless. Still the best value for money in a card I've ever had.

I played a good bit of Hogwarts on mine after i finished this video and didn't even go to my main gaming rig which supersized me. I also used the 1060 in a few builds for some friends that wanted to get back into pc gaming so far no complaints.

That's an impressive budget build! I'm planning to assemble another budget PC soon, this time focusing on overclocking. My goal is to demonstrate what a complete newbie can achieve with overclocking. I use a GTX 1660 in my ex-wife's computer for the light gaming she does, although she primarily plays games like "7 Days to Die" and a bit of "Valheim."

The lifespan of the GTX 1060 can vary depending on the game you're trying to run. Some modern games may run on it, but only at very low settings, which could negatively impact the gaming experience. I would recommend a 6GB model with GDDR5 memory instead. However, in my opinion, time is slowly running out for the 10 series of graphics cards.

The 40 FPS performance is just a temporary dip in the first loading of the game, as the FPS quickly evened out to 60-70 FPS throughout the rest of the game play. Moreover, the performance on PC can be improved by upgrading hardware or tweaking the settings further. I enjoy the flexibility and customization that a PC gaming setup offers.

@@RatchetBuildzI got a solid 65fps. I used to only have a AMD ATHLON 3000G (vega 3 igpu) which couldn’t play ANYTHING. I found a GTX 1060 6GB cheap, and bought it. I also got a ryzen 5 4500. With overclock, i can play quite a bit now!

So I don't have that card anymore used it to build a pc for a friend to get back into gaming, but looking back threw my video on the Unigine Heaven Benchmark it's a Gtx 1060 6GB.
