This is my favorite dirt trax episode. I just really like the idea of loading all your gear on the machine and spending a couple days out in the woods with everything you need packed with you. Maybe one of these days ill try it. That is the best looking 4 seat maverick I've seen and I really like all the little details that make you realize its built for more than just a day ride...

I like the theme of this video, and may seem crazy but also a video on snowtrax about off trail camping. I can’t always afford to do it, but it looks like an amazing experience.

I would like to hear dirt trax do a review of off road GPS options. I currently use a tiny handheld GPS and it just isnt that great because it is small and hard to read (and hard to use with gloves on for snowmobiling) I would love to see a comparison of GPS units like the lowrance you installed on this rig vs other options, and even what models you prefer and why. that would be very helpful in deciding what to purchase

GREAT video guys. I truly enjoyed it from start to finish. I would really like to see you guys do more builds like this....as in purpose built builds. The Wolverine would be a great candidate, as well as a Teryx and Pioneer as they are geared towards the trail rider/adventure seeker/explorer. Again, great job....insert jealousy ALL OVER THIS POST lol.

Wow, a dream of mine to go on an expedition like this. Hard being in the south with small parks. I have rode Windrock with both SXS's. I had a ton of fun, but looking for more adventure. Love nature and solitude and also love friends. Hopefully an opportunity comes to do just this. I ride a can am 1000 Maverick and RZR 900. Love options! Thanks for such a great video and base for a dream.

Argo 8x8 with tracks! No mods needed....:) lol AND it will go through more of what that over priced Jeep would ever consider going through. And YES you can drive them on the street. maybe not as fast but does speed matter when your in the deep woods? NO! Whats great about an Argo is that lake in the back ground could have been crossed with all of there gear on board. :) Let's see what that can do on the Rubicon Trail?

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could share your knowledge of the new law changes in Ontario regarding SxS road usage. My impression is that it's only allowed in certain municipalities, and that actual "road use" like a car/truck etc is still illegal. It basically allows you to wander where ATV's can already go. Any insight on this would be appreciated, because the horn, signals etc would be a great idea (and a necessity) for true road use.

What did the range and fuel consumption end up being like?
@mikebennett15657 жыл бұрын
Will Newberry - Will, with the two 5 gallon fuel cans you can double the range of the stock machine. As far as exact mileage it all depends on how you are driving it. I used this machine for an upcoming article in Dirt Trax and we did an entire day including road and trail riding totalling 135 kms (80+ miles) for $11.40 Canadian which is pretty awesome!

That thing is maxed out, the rearend is flat and looks like it's about to tip over... seems like a decent trail machine.. I would take some of extra weight off and put on a 6" lift.. do that and you'll be able to go anywhere!!

Awesome rig for the rich guys to build. For the more budget minded I say go pick up a good used jeep wrangler unlimited(4 door) and build that for half the cost.
@balzarini518 жыл бұрын
or better yet an xj for 1/4 the price. I agree with you. and plus in a jeep you can drive it on the highway.
@michaeltom4024 жыл бұрын
I have a 4 runner trail rig and a side by side is totally different. I use my x3 for things that my 4 runner can't possibly do. It depends upon your offroad terrain and what you feel is fun. Slow and easy calls for the 4 runner. Traveling from Az to Montana with some offroad adventures calls for the 4 runner. But a weekend in the dunes or high desert well that is all side by side. A day trip into the local mtns once again the side by side. It is all about what you consider fun.

there is a certain Point where i personally dont think that a UTV makes sense anymore...i mean the Maverick is SICK dont get me wrong! but seriously, for the Price this Thing probably costs, you could have easily built a Wrangler or something..
@dirttraxtv8 жыл бұрын
+Pe Peroni The trick is not to buy one outside your budget and truthfully if you are weighing its value over a jeep, then it might not be the best product for you.
@Driftuner8 жыл бұрын
+Dirt Trax Television i understand, the "price" itself wasnt actually my main point, but the purpouse application of the vehicle...someone Building a vehicle for Extended expeditions will most likely use a "car-based" vehicle, not only because of the Price, but lets be honest, because of reliability aswell...as good as the UTVs have become now a days, still the chances that a CVT belt goes wrong is significantly higher then a Jeep going wrong...but it must be said: i am no "jeeper" nor an "ATV-er", so i am just talking out of my non-existing experience, obviously i know i could be wrong (and most probably i am?)...anyway, i would choose that Meverick any day tho! just for ist raw awesomeness! Cheers guys, and what a great Job you did on that machine i must say..
@leolldankology8 жыл бұрын
+Pe Peroni you got one thing right, you're inexperience. if I built a jeep and a utv like this, there are plenty more places this utv can get to compared to a built jeep. mechanical issues are not limited to utv's. way more shit can break or bust on a jeep. there are advantages to each ride, it's what you want, where you want to go that should determine what you build and how you build it.
