There is an entire Doom wad consisting of levels like this, made by various people. It's called DoomGPT.

I recorded this really badly so theres a lot of noise when increasing the gain but audacity did a decent enough job of mending it, i managed to fix it now but i’d already recorded the whole thing so it’ll be better next time.

I think you need a multimodal model for that, which is also trained playing the game itself. Otherwise it wont understand what makes interesting and challenging map

pretty sure one already exists Sledge? or something along those lines, its pretty good. I use freedom with brutal doom.

@@jakeparkinson8929i’d argue SLIGE is more of an algorithim so its designed to be good but can’t branch out into something crazy that a human would struggle to make, i think an actual ai software for wads could easily make something that would push the engines limits mabye? I dont know an awful lot about machine learning so i wouldn’t have a clue on how to go about it but it is 100% possible now its just that no-ones done it yet.

@@Trench303Oblige is a really good one, it can generate cities and hell levels etc but it can get repetitive. very good if you just want a quick wad generator.

What you want today is called Obsidian. I just built myself a new copy the other day from the git repository. It's quite good.
