I think it’s a question of regular vs post season. I think post season he’s definitely making the team better, but the question is whether he makes them a better regular season team with Dame’s injuries and defense. Dame is there to space the floor in the playoffs so they can’t build a wall against Giannis, so he’ll do that, but I think the regular season questions are fair.
@Dnero518
@Dnero518 9 ай бұрын
Long as they stay relatively healthy I feel like Dame should make them way better even if their perimeter D takes a hit the offense should be lethal with Dame and Giannis plus Middleton and Brook can space the floor as a threat from 3 too so that gives Giannis a crazy amount of room to work inside with Dames gravity added and his speed I can't wait to see how their offense looks in the regular season.

*He won’t miss a shot down in the stretch in the first round of the playoffs Dame is a mediocre postseason player outside of the 1st round. His only second round win which was against the Nuggets was won due to CJ going on a crazy heater in game 7 and salvaging the absolute stinker that Dame dropped. His only WCF was pure underperformance as he got thoroughly outplayed by Steph throughout the series against a KD-less, no depth Warriors. No shame in being outplayed by Steph but the Blazers had 15+ point leads in all the games and completely blew all of them down the stretch for a sweep. Dame is a vastly overstated great playoff performer outside the first round.

Lol Warriors fan with a hate boner for Dame. Curry has been very mid in the playoffs the last two years. 2022 - Ja was much better in 2nd round, very unimpressive series with Poole and Klay outplaying him in games. Trash in game 5 weak showing for a WCF MVP, trash in game 4 Finals trash in game 5 shooting 3-16 carried by Wiggins Then 2023, the warriors had a better record without him, since 2020 the Warriors have been a better defense than offense, and in the playoffs the Kings had no playoffs experience and still took them 7 since Curry was inconsistent. The game 7 was overrated since it took 38 shots to make 50 points and a lot of those points were "front running" while up 10+ in the fourth quarter. In the 2nd round he completely folded easily getting outplayed by AD for the series and LeBron was so much in the closeout game 6 that he was better in the series as well despite being 38 on a broken foot. Curry continued his streak of 0-14 in the last 2 possessions of a close game and was trash in the 4th quarter of game 4, cooked by Lonnie. Overall, Dame and Curry are both on the same tier now in 2023 - lower end of the top 10 behind Jokic - BITW by a mile Embiid - won MVP, injured in playoffs KD - 55/40/90 while impacting winning in the regular season (unlike Curry who's team won more without him) Giannis - understandable Luka - better at this point Tatum - consistently 1st team all-NBA, been the best player in 6 of the last 7 series he played and Game 7 vs Sixers was best individual playoff game of century AD - better than Curry in the regular season and clearly outplayed in the playoffs

I think only Curry has a realistic chance of being that guy. Durant has a tiny chance but he's got Booker a top10 player as well &same thing w/ Booker; people would still give KD love if Booker led the Suns to a title. 3 other players have a 1% chance if their team won the ship this year 2B called best in the world; Luka, SGA & Ant Edwards. The only way the Bucks don't win 55 games is if they do a lot of load management this year, and guys aren't playing. This team is motivated, hungry, and seasoned. Now granted a new coach, loss of Jrue on defense, and maybe some dysfunction, sure... But this feels like a LOT of Boston bias. I mean, there is no doubt that Boston is right there with them. They're both juggernauts that are going for it. But all this talk about Dame not playing defense and that will be more of a net negative than the offense he brings is insane. It's a delusional take made by bias. Ray Allen, for God's sake, won a championship with those Celtics. He was a sleeve on defense, As was Paul Pierce! How many jokes were made about Paul getting stabbed because he plays bad defense?? That team was great on defense because they had a few great guys, KG, obviously, Rondo. Wait until one of these guys becomes great on defense, and it's all figured out. And they do have great depth. Bobby Portis, Cam Payne, Crowder, Beauchamp, Connaughton?? Bobby should be a starter, and Beauchamp will be by seasons end. Just give credit where it is due.

If Cavs reshuffled would a three way trade with Wizards for Poole and contender X taking Mitchell and offloading assets make sense? Lakers... or Nuggets... maybe. Moreso thinking is Poole a solid plug for that Cleveland core is it doesn't happen this year?

Absolutely not, the cavaliers and JB bickerstaff pride themselves as a defense first team (had the number 1 defense last year) so they would not want Jordan Poole for that alone not to mention he's way to inconsistent offensively, they can get more for mitchell if they decide to trade him, i would imagine they try to go for a Mitchell and mikal bridges kinda trade

Why are Bucks fans negative towards Jrue , Celtics fans are still hurt that Marcus Smart is gone and not wearing Green

Oh, we love Jrue. It's just when people say Dame isn't as good with dumb takes that we get critical. But we love him.

Umm, Isiah Steward is not a center, he's he plays power forward currently for the Pistons not center Dear Bill Simmons, I couldn't disagree more with your take that there are a lot of good teams in the east? As a piston fan I'm not impressed with none of those teams.. the bucks are old and the Celtics are small after Porzingus annual injury, the heat are worse than ever, the Cavs are overrated and their small backcourt does not match up well against the Pistons bigger backcourt...point guard Cade Cunningham(6'6)and shooting guard Ausar Thompson(6'7) vs Michell(6'2) and their 6'1 PG.. I suspect Ausar Thompson to shut Mitchell down completely (you remember you got that bit of foresight here first😂) Detroit tanked last year purposely, they were much better than the 17 win team you saw last year, trust that . Jalen Duren grew 2 inches over the summer and is a legit 7footer now@Center The Pistons have more talent than ever- Cade Cunningham, Jayden Ivey, Ausar Thompson -Duren-beefStew-Alec Burks-Monte Morris -Killian Hayes-Joe Harris and Marvin Bagley that's 10 talented player's on the same roster at the same time no way they don't win over 27 gms.. Take the over, don't be stupid
