I wouldn't say "it does nothing at all" in most men. DHEA has obvious and quick effects, many of them being estrogenic. I doubt most people can take this and say they don't feel anything.

Been taking it for decades since I was 35. No side effects. It's mainly for longevity. Boosts test in women more. Maybe 1% in men.

Dhea-s approximately 20-30% above baseline on multiple tests with cortisol on the low end of the range on a single test. Thoughts? Noted one polymorphism for 11oh or 3boh, been a minute since I looked.

Dr Gillett, can you please speak about HCG and it’s relation to adrenal hormones for those on TRT? I’ve wanted to know your opinion for a while. Is it necessary to backfill the upstream pathway for preg/prog/dhea synthesis? I have a significant libido/mood/cognition decrease without it. I’ve been using 100 iu everyday, which is not without it’s inconveniences due to cost etc. If it does backfill the upstream pathways, I would like to know if there is any non fertility reason to use it over oral supplementation of the neurosteroids.
