I can’t explain how hyped I am for this show. Game of Thrones is definitely my favorite show, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up liking House of the Dragon more

The show's budget is bigger than season 8 of GoT.

When I first heard of House of Dragons, I was not interested. When I heard of rings of power I was not interested. After watching both trailers, HBO took the fattest shit on Amazon.

This is not a competition but House of dragon is gonna be the next big show and while LOTR series will be slapped left and right.😅

I'm pretty sure this show has a larger budget than Game of Thrones ever did, Game of Thrones season 8 was the largest budget, at $15 million per episode, I heard House of the Dragon is $20 million per episode, but might be pretty close in budget if you account for inflation.

I'm looking forward to Matt Smith (my favorite The Doctor) and awesome dragons. Beyond that my expectations aren't high. But then that's usually my successful action for watching movies / series: don't put them on a pedestal early on, just wait and see how it goes, enjoy what there is to enjoy.

Man! That does look good. I'm honestly hoping big for this, Rings of Power and the dark horse Wheel of Time season 2 (though... We'll have to see.)

I feel these days that the line between motion pictures and television has been completely blurred, and if you notice most huge motion picture stars are now appearing in series format television shows with all the different streaming platforms, it offers such an array of options that to be a motion picture. You have to be pretty damn theatrical and cinematic these days

I honestly think the reaction to the end of GOT is overblown. Sure it would have been better with actual source material to work from and if they had taken 10 more episodes and not teleported around so much, but much of the fan complaining I hear seems to be comprised of complaints about how it all ended up for their favourite characters. If GRRM ever does finish the books I hope that he sticks to his original vision - fleshed out right as was not done in the show -- and doesn't cave to fan complaints about how Jaime should have completed some cheesy redemption arc (instead of being redeemed but still basically being loyal to the love of his life -- flawed as that was) and gone off with Breanne or Daenerys somehow being hailed as a hero despite being an invading foreigner from across the ocean who had left a trail of atrocities behind her, among the many good things she'd also done. And as for the widespread shock that Bran would be king? Anyone with a basic grasp of narrative conventions should know that that is what Martin always had planned. This was always a story about The Starks, and Bran was the first Stark we met, just as Rand was the first main-sequence character we meet in The Wheel of Time (yes - there are WOT readers too who couldn't work out that Rand was The Dragon Reborn until the end of book 1, despite two blatant prophecies of the Dragon being sandwiched between the ending of Lews Therin's Dragnmount prologue and his appearance in Chapter 1 of The Eye of the World.

Trailer looked slick and well made. As always, I will wait until I see viewer reviews before deciding to watch. Early hype is a relic of a bygone age lol

The same composer of GOT. The same costume designer from GOT. The lead Director from the best episodes of GOT migel Sapotchnic who did Hard home, Battle of the Bastards, etc. Trust, probably the first 3 episodes will be the warm up I call it, diving deep into the characters. I love the world of a song of ice and fire, and i wint give up on it because two guys got bored and rushed the ending. Im optimistic about the new show, everything seems promising about it. Hopefully it does well and we get more spin offs, maby a movie and who knowd maby an rpg.

With their teasers we've yet to determine what the story will be, only _very_ vague hints. And the last teaser seemed like it was mostly a poke at the fandom complaining about the changes we'll see. "The past is dead, move forward or we'll die with it". This is more interesting because they are actually giving you an idea of the story line and what we can expect from it. There is already ASoIF intrigue here. Much better trailer material. So it's not at all surprising this would be more interesting to even a diehard LotR fan.

I think this show will bring back GoT better than ever before, it has everything the best seasons of GoT had, hopefully this will bring fans back!

They just need to adapt the chapter of "Fire and Blood" 1:1 and dont make the same mistake as the previous showrunners did - thinking they could do better.

HBO should give fans who didn’t loose their minds and who weren’t so abrasive as to just completely shun any other GoT shows because of the last season of the original, a first look at it. Give it to the others the month after, seems fair.

ROP is bit of an unknown even though its a prequel to LOTR other than galadriel being a major part of it I dont knw anything about that show. HOTD looks more fleshed out and real and we have been introduced to the big players in this trailer and the tone and feel is very similar to GOT so I am excited for this way more than ROP.

I didn’t think the ending of Game of thrones was as bad as people on social media make it out to be neither. Ask people how it should’ve ended and you will get a million different responses.

Well I actually thought that the original Game of Thrones series was remarkably overrated. I have no idea why this country and the viewership became so addicted to that TV show, I mean it was ridiculous and over the top. And I have to say the same thing for Stranger Things. And I'm not trolling here, believe me there are others who feel the same way that both of these shows are ridiculously overrated.
