I know I'm late, but I haven't seen anyone else saying this. Flying press isn't quad effective on Aurorus. Flying press is both fighting and flying type. Fighting is 4x effective on Aurorus, but flying is 1/2x, so they merge into 2x effective. That's why I never use Flying Press.

I believe that against the Gardevoir what happened was I believe on the first turn Megas use the speed for the base Pokémon so mega garchomp was faster than normal gardevoir but slower than mega gardevoir and that’s why the first dig went first then second.
