Greetings! If you put your ISP router in bridge mode, does it still act as a wifi point together with the google wifi router? Or does it stop transmitting a wireless signal all together? If this is the case, is there any way to do this, emit the same wifi network from your ISP router and the google router?

Question: Can I connect each of 3 Google Mesh Devices directly to my ISP Router through Ethernet Cable and get an Integrated WIFI Setup through the 3 Google Mesh Devices? As per my research the default connection model is to connect ISP Router to one Google Mesh (Primary) and then further connect the Secondary Google Mesh Device with the Primary Google Mesh through Ethernet (for a wired Mesh). Please help.

Do you enable Bridge mode and disable PPPoE or just add bridge mode? Also, do I need to disable DHCP on my existing router?

@jerry232366 you will need to have DHCP enabled on your existing router, or your network might face issues with assigning IP addresses to devices that connect to your network Just enabling Bridge mode worked for me. I dont think you need to disable PPPoE, but just to be sure it is best to check with your ISP for this.

@@blinqblinqtech Okay, I see. So I have NBN connected to my existing router via WAN port. I then connect my existing router from one of its LAN ports to the Google WiFi router's WAN port. The existing router is put into bridging mode with DHCP left on and it should work. My issue is devices closest to the existing router get assigned IP addresses from that router and then devices closest to my Google router get other IP addresses.

Currently have an Altice modem/router from Optimim which they set on bridge mode. We have poor signal and have a mesh Google WiFi system. Not sure it’s set up correctly as I’m dropping signal. I don’t have cell reception here either. My question is my first Google Wi-Fi point is set on NAT and the other Google Wi-Fi mesh points seem to be preset on bridge mode meaning I couldn’t change it if I wanted to within the Google home app. Is this correctly set up to broadcast the signal from the first Wi-Fi point (NAT) to the other points preset in bridge mode? Thanks!
