When I choose a base color for the shape of the character, I usually think about what tint I want to paint my character in. For example: If I need my character to look in a bluer color, I would choose blue as the base color. It tricks my brain into looking at colors as if they are in a bluish light.

I have recently learned to put Sam's videos on in the background while I do studies of subjects(art studies). It has honestly helped me improve with hands so much. Especially when it's a video where he tells us to stop running from our responsibilities. Thank you Sam! I've been "doing" art since I was like- 2. Of course they didn't really look like anything until I reached about the age of 5. This channel has inspired me to actually get out of my comfort zone and try digital art and things I wouldn't have even thought of.

I have a oc named Amari and she is a phycology major in college. Her sister was killed at the age of seven and her murderer was never caught. Amari struggled with depression and became obsessed with fire. She wasn’t mentally stable when taken to jail for illegal fire usage but there was nobody to help her in jail. Her parents have despised her and have not talked to her since. This experience is why she majored in phycology so she can 1. Work with her friend who is a criminal justice major to start jail therapy and 2. Start social experiments. Ik it’s random but I just wanted to share her backstory lol.

The only thing I look forward to as much as Sam Does Men is Sam Does Outros. 😄 Art-wise, I loved that you picked characters of different ages; all my life I think I've struggled to draw someone that isn't my age because I like... just don't notice the differences in other people's features or something? On top of that, I just have same face weeb issues... but seeing different characters side by side and explaining some of their facial and body structures helps!

I did what I call a good analysis on the whole video, and the result is, their colors were a bit muddy compared to yours, also they had no highlights, so their pieces didn't pop, but other than that their pieces don't look bad, you did phenomenally like the yush of course 😂
