MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET!! Teaching my darling wife how to shoot some of the best pheasants I've seen all season! I was super proud of Alannah as she hasn't shot a shotgun since last Beaters Day and she shot some fantastic birds.
It was a really fun day with like minded people. All enjoying a great day out in the field to end the game shooting season on a high!

It would if she was more experienced but she needed help to position the gun into her shoulder bud.

A really well constructed video showing what’s great about shooting. The way you coached the girls was a brilliant object lesson on how to teach anybody to shoot high quality pheasants. It’s a lot, lot more difficult than it looks to the casual observer especially for the inexperienced . As the range increases things bird selection, timing, line and muzzle speed become absolutely critical. Most important of all though is to have fun and you guys clearly were having a ball👏👏

Just let the Mrs hold the gun herself, I think she was at a disadvantage trying to catch the gun, mount and then shoot. Doggies gorgeous.

She is virtually a complete novice so I needed to help her with positioning the gun in her shoulder and to keep the gun in a safe position. Safety is paramount, hence my control of the gun.

Ignore the comments about poor coaching. Its hard on peg its not like your in a cage clay shooting wating for someone to call pull! The people complaining have obviously never double gunned. Its not much differnt. It looked like most of the ones she missed, she just needed to take her time on a fraction more and she will be well away Do agree with the dog behind the gun comment though, but thats just me 🤷

Would be more comfortable seeing the old dog behind the gun , when the guns getting closed and lifted for the firing position it’s coming through the line of the dog , novice gun and all that , hope you don’t mind me saying , I enjoy your videos

Hmm. Surely you would want someone to have a certain level of competency before even being allowed on peg! A few goes at some clays would have been enough for her to be comfortable with handling and mounting her gun.

She has shot occasional clays but that’s why I’m handling the gun so much for the safety of everyone else 👍

Terrible coaching, poor girl isn’t allowed to even mount the Gun as you do it! You’re virtually shooting it for her! As Chris Craddock used to say “A hit is history and a miss is a mystery”!

She is basically a complete novice and I will always keep complete control of the gun for the safety of others. I am absolutely not shooting it for her, my hands are not touching the gun as she moves on to shoot at each bird.

Omg, speed you shoot well but let the lady get on.. Too much instruction on ft in front etc. Nick Hendrick is the man for a quick lesson on game shooting etc
