@@RurbanWalker Yeah, I absolutely thought see same. In every 10k race around here the best finishers break 35 min. I've even seen 32 min on a local race. Without breaking 40 mins you wouldn't even be under the top 10 or 15.

Guy in red shirt won but won the half marathon and cosidering that they had bib numbers in the same category (winner was 3183 and he was 3142) not only was it not a 10k he didnt win? there where red bibs which was probably the actual 10km. He also was not listed as one of that companies 1st place finishers. The winner also had the exact race number and clothing on down to the shades. weather matched exactly. This was a GREAT idea for a video, Tyler. Of course, there is a difference between chip time and clock time, but I'm guessing you were going for first place clock time AND chip time, which you did accomplish here. Congrats! Looking forward to more of your videos! I was wondering if you were going to get into a situation where you were the fastest chip time, but not the first finisher. Some races don't differentiate between chip time and clock time either; it's just clock time. If you ran this in 40:16, your chip time would be 40:16 and that would be your official time, but I can see your clock time is 41:26. For those wondering, clock time starts when the race starts/gun goes off. Chip time begins when you cross the start line. It has happened to me several times in a race where I outkicked someone at the end only to find out they officially beat me because their chip time was faster (they started farther back from the start line than I did). But it was never the difference between 1st and 2nd place in my case (i'm not that fast ;P) but I'm sure it does happen.
@TylerSpeers4 ай бұрын
Yeah, luckily I managed to do both! Would have been interesting if I won on chip but lost on clock, but luckily that didn’t happen!

When it comes to most HS races, going from last to first will usually happen assuming you run a perfectly even, nonfluctuating pace throughout the race. In a 3200m race, I went from last to 4th with mostly even laps.
