I dont know much about this line of things but couldn't you just take the hard mold in the chamber and just chip it out and use the particles in blank molds and potentially sell and reduce the loss by possibly quite a bit??? Granted its an old post but it could help you or someone later down the road

Video of cactus juice alternatives? the price was enough to put me off it, didn't know if had this kind of issue. Also you might want to add a "" to your website in the description as it isn't clickable as-is.

@@TobyFireandSteel you could try boiled linseed oil too, apparently its a bad idea and would be half assed compared to epoxy, but could be a laugh. I guess a problem would be that most epoxies would cure too fast and so on, "if it was easy everyone would be doing it"
@TobyFireandSteel
@TobyFireandSteel 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've spoken to people doing the linseed oil mate. It works great if to want to get good penetration of it int the first few mm as a finish but it wont full penetrate apparently bud. And other epoxys aren't viscos enough. Plus the cure to fast generally and waaaaay to sticky lol. Thanks though bro 👍

Hey Bro. For the T shirt thing, have you looked into Tspring? I know a lot of the youtubers i follow use them. From what i gather the punters click the link, go to t spring, buy a shirt and you get a cut. Im not sure on numbers as far as percentages they pass back to you but im lead to believe they print to order and ship direct to the customer and you dont have to do anything but take a cut. Could be good for you if all you have to do is submit your logos and the rest they do.
@TobyFireandSteel
@TobyFireandSteel 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude yeah I've read some not great stuff about there cut and quality. I'm funny on tshirt my self I have tones of them and I hate ones that dont sit well and shrink because they are crap quality. Maybe I'll order some and try them my self. Thanks mate

@@TobyFireandSteel no dramas. Yeah i know what you mean. Im kinda like Corin but with racing shirts lol. The JB ones always are the best quality from a print shop. Knife shirts will probably be the same.

Hi Toby your videos have really helped and inspired me make my own knives. I've just started to make a Kukuri from scrap metal i found laying around the station. Also do you have any advice on how to remove the rust from blades. Also the website looks great.

Thanks man. I really appreciate the kind words. Yeah bro grinder or vinegar work well but you can also buy things like evaporust which is amazing but not cheap. Also just a word of warning of you dont know exactly what that Steel is you will put a heap of work into it only to find it's not hardenable and ends up as a " knife looking object" sadly. If you can afford it jump on the creative man or Gameco website and get some 1084 it's so cheap brother 👍 thanks heaps for watching

Hi mate, no fun having that cactus juice go off a few times, what an expensive stuff around. I'm just starting with resin and wading through the minefield of what's available in Aus and what's suitable. I haven't heard of that one in your kit. If you use it, it must be ok ? I might get one off you to try. Are you going to do larger quantities ?

The best way to learn to hate what you are doing is to turn it into a job or at least that has been my experience. I found that I am my own worst boss. We you need money to pay for this of that, you will work 20 hours days to get it done and you will start resenting it. IMHO. I don't want to discourage you, but just tell you what I have experienced. But, you'r a young guy and a little hard work won't kill you. Good luck with whatever you decide it best...
