A concrete new lintel is like £10 i would have just paid it myself if the site manager was being a stingy prick, maybe told the neighbours the situation and see if they are willing to pay for it, and just done it if not, also i would accommodate that into the prices for that customergoing forward, i would never leave somthing less safe for the sake of a few quid

@@ronnierobinson1502 I wouldn't, but if there's potential for a collapse I would, it's stood for years and the company renovating it would be the cause of collapse, best policy is don't touch it until both parties are in agreement, it's simply lost rental calling the shots, I've seen it from one of the UK's biggest HMO provider, it didn't end well.

The lantern shown was used in Australia also and I collected one , which was left after a street construction job beside our house , during the late 1950s . I’d guess that style was used from perhaps the 1940s on . The one in the video was a good find because whilst there are still quite a few around , a lot no longer have the kerosene burner still inside .

That oil road lamp you found should be kept, they are quite durable considering they lit roadworks at night. Clean it up, repaint keeping to red, clean the lamp unit, install new wick and load up with proper lamp oil and it should work. 🙂
