Great point! Being able to recharge the power station using solar panels is a game-changer for RV life. It's even more convenient with the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. With its fast recharging capability and impressive capacity, it's a reliable option for outdoor enthusiasts like us. Plus, its waterproof design ensures durability wherever our adventures take us. Definitely worth considering!

Safety Tip: ALL items with a Lithium battery should be kept out of the sun as much as possible. I would rig a shade above the power station while it charges.

I just put the power station in the shade provided by the solar panel. Put the panel close to your RV, put the power station in the shade provided by the panel, and then use a short extension cord into the RV.

Anyone who lives near a coastline needs one of these if they can't afford a home generator. The storms and hurricanes knock power out all the time. These are much better than having to constantly put gas in a regular generator.

Bluetti is having a great sale right now! I just bought two of these AC180s and a 420 watt solar panel. That way one power station can keep my 12 volt fridge cold and I could be charging or using the other one. I like the idea of having a portable folding solar panel, that way my van will still look stealthy if I’m camping in a city.

I have the old bluetti 150 in my rv. It is connected to 350 watts of solar on the roof. I can recharge the bluetti and my e bike battery at the same time. Takes between 6 and 7 hours under those circumstances. I need my bluetti to power an oxygen concentrator at night. Uses about 900 watt hours each night. These things are great!😊

You're absolutely right. You can't install a comparable system in an RV for a fraction of the price. The advancements over the past 5 years have been game changers. Just bought a Ecoflow Delta Max 2016wh power station and it fits nicely under the dinette table in my A-frame camper. Couldn't resist and got the Ecoflow Wave 2 A/C which also fits under the table and will vent through the floor. With the solar that I have I'll be able to cook with induction, have plenty of power plus A/C in the desert and all off-grid for a fraction of what it would have cost. This absolutely changes where I can go and when I can go. Got everything on sale over Memorial Day. My Honda 2200i generator is going up for sale!

Also love your videos. One thing to mention that people need to know is this unit won’t be done for in 10 years after 3,000 full charges. It just means it battery degrades after that 3,000 charge mark it doesn’t mean it’s not gonna work no more. It just degrades to 80% of its original battery capacity so it just won’t last as long as it did before reaching that 3,000 full charge cycle mark. It will have 80% battery capacity and will still work just fine. It will then basically turn into a 800 watt to 900 watt generator battery and no longer a 1,152 watt hour batttery. As it degrades it’s watt hours get less and less at lasting. But it doesn’t mean it’s dead and bad after 3,000 full charge cycles so you’ll get many many more years than 10 out these things.

I just bought one of these on Amazon on sale for $599 no sales tax in Montana so I paid $599 for it. I love it. I already have 3 EcoFlow’s the 256 watt hour ones, 2 other bluetti’s the 268 watt hour ones the EB3A’s love those to. Now I have this 180 and LOVE IT. I been testing it out since I got it and did a test running my 50 inch Roku tv, ps5, Xbox series s, Nintendo switch and my internet T-Mobile modem all hooked up to through a surge protected and played the ps5 version of fallout 4 and it lasted 3 hours using it all hooked up to it from 100% to 3% and then it took 1 hour to charge back to 100% in standard mode while I kept playing on everything still hooked up to it while it charged. Then I tested running just the tv and internet modem and it ran 8 hours and 45 minutes watched like 5 movies all day on it with that 50 inch tv lmao. I’m impressed. Then today I used my George Forman grill and cooked some hamburgers in 17 minutes and it pulls around 1,100 watts for that grill and it used 20% from 100 to 80% battery like doing that for 17 minutes. That’s awesome. My next test tomorrow will be hooking up my 500 watt ac to it and see if it gets 2 hours running that. This thing is a beast. Perfect for rv life or car living life. I need more. Time to save up for buying more hoping on sale lol.

Thanks for sharing and Bluetti for letting you share it. Something like this would be good just to have in home or in a bugout kit to have, this would be better than a solar generator for a pinch without the noise or the chances of it getting stolen. Ones on the East Coast when they have storms and power goes down for days or weeks. The use of it sounds endless. I was checking out solar panels and everything on Temu and they were very reasonable and going to invest in a 2 or 300 watt setup just in case. And I will be looking into this little guy as well. Blessings!

This is the video I needed! The 799 sale wss just extended until July 19th! Also, the b80 expansion battery can be connected to the ac 180. However, since the b80 is only 100 less than the 180 on sale, it might be a better deal to get two bluetti ac 180s on sale. However, right now I can't afford either option. One thing I always wonder about those power stations is "what would happen if you plugged in three 200w solar panels to charge it?" Would it self-regulate and only take in 500w max? Or would it fry something and wreck your power station? Great topic choice, btw. I did something similar a few months ago with my Oupes. I went around the house and plugged things in one at a time to see how many watts they actually pulled and how long the unit could run it. Then I made a list because I'll never remember it all. LOL I still need to figure out how long it takes to charge it with my solar panel to decide if I want to add another panel or not.

@CarolynsRVLife
@CarolynsRVLife 10 ай бұрын
the difference is that in power lift the sine wave is modified. So you no longer have a pure sine wave inverter. As someone who's run my whole life off a modified sine wave inverter for years, most electronics are fine (including laptops). But it's important to check, some electronics are sensitive to t hat.

Great video.!! Finally I am starting to under the lingo!! I am still confused about the purpose of the inverter? Is it built in? Or separete? What is its purpose? I am in Canafa so the price is a higher than US $$$ but in comparion the Bluetti 180 with tge solar panels us a better deal. Any feedback on the inverter is appreciated. Cheers from Ontario!!

An inverter changes the battery voltage to 120v standard wall outlet power to run those devices that need it such as the blender or fan, you loose a bit of power to heat in the conversion process as its only 80-85% efficient on most good models. Also if you can plug your device into usb or car 12v plug (laptop/phone/cpap/DC fan) instead of the A/C inverter you can get more out of what you stored from solar in the battery. Hope that helps

It can be discharged to zero, but I think the parameters can be adjusted with the app.I herd tell for max batt life, it should between 20and 80 percent

I actually asked Bluetti whether they had a built in reserve to keep from discharging the batteries completely. Bluetti says that when your screen says 0%, the batteries actually have about 10% left in them to prevent damage to the battery. I usually stay between a state of charge between 20% and about 90%. I know a lot of people don’t charge it above 80% but a lot of those people charge them to 100% if there is a hurricane warning. I am in earthquake country so no advance warning.

Can anyone tell me if this machine requires Bluetti brand solar panels only, or can it work with another brand, like Renogy? I'm a solar newbie and don't want to make a hugely expensive mistake. Better safe than sorrowful! Carolyn, thank you so much for this incredibly thorough and helpful vid!

With the included mc4 to 7909 conversion cable you can use most any solar panel. The 7909 commonly known as an 8mm barrel plug, connects to the unit

You've also reviewed the Jackery and VTOMAN. I think the Jackery had some problems. Overall which one do you like best? Do you still use the other two? If you could only keep one which one would it be? These power stations are pretty expensive and I can only afford one so I want to be sure I get one I can count on. Thanks for all the reviews!

@@waitaminute2015 No idea. But the others are pretty pricy plus you need to buy the solar panels. I don't know if it works with only Bluetti panels or if a cheaper brand will work.

What I have found is that as time goes on the technology just keeps improving. The newer technology... at least for the bigger units is now Lithium Iron Phosphate.. rather than Lithium Ion. It's not that the smaller Jackery's are not good . they can be very helpful... but now there are even MORE powerful ones. I have a 2200w Anker for my HOUSE, it's a Beast...but probably a bit too big for a Van. I think Carolyn's Bluette is a perfect size for RV living.
