I take on the challenge of an AJGA Qualifier tournament with a twist - I've lost my rangefinder! In a previous video, I shared my experience as the 1st ever to film junior golf tournaments for KZfaq. Now, the stakes are even higher as I step onto the course for the AJGA Qualifier.
Will I be able to navigate the course without it, or will this mishap cost me a shot at qualification?
Throughout this video, I'll share my emotions, strategies, and decisions as I confront the unexpected obstacles that losing my rangefinder presents. Can I adapt to the circumstances and still perform at my best? The journey is about the final score, personal growth, and determination to compete under such conditions.

@@sullygully1976 exactly - and also, HOW annoying and poor golf etiquette is it to disrespect your playing partners in this round while talking to a microphone all through your round because your are creating "Gabby contect" - SO poor. Also, those two other girls playing with her......beat her by 4 strokes each......

I love the way she talks to herself and stays continually positive in what she is trying/going to do. I’ve been playing for years and my self commentary involves ‘man you’re lousy Lopez or why do you play this game?’ She is an exceptional young lady. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Hello Gabriella. This is what my son and I wait for. We love when you’re on the golf course and when you’re competing in tournaments. We like to see your mindset from hole to hole. Well done. Looks to me like you were under clubing and over swinging coming up short on a lot of shots. Nothing wrong with that when the adrenaline is flowing. When I get pumped up I club down. You played excellent. I love how you talked to yourself your a competitor.

I know this is far from home, but Lake Charles Louisiana is hosting their first AJGA tournament at Mallard Golf Club in March 2024 and would love to see you play there and would to have a chance to play a round with you and your family! I watched til the end. And YES, I believe you should call them Glogs. (That was me that suggested that...a few times.) You're a unique individual (in my opinion, and for all good reasons), so why not have your own unique name for a golf vlog? A Gabby Golf Girl Glog. I enjoyed watching you play, and watching you provided me a flash-back memory. When I was 8, 9 and 10 years old and living in Virginia I would play rounds with 'Grip it and Rip it' Lanny Wadkins, and among other things - he taught me to play very fast. Fast play is great, but it's pretty rare in tournaments so I had to teach myself to breath, dial it down a notch or two and adjust my pace to the flow of traffic. Not an easy thing to do when you are young and excited, but it worked for me. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep watching you play.

Sean from South Boston. Used to live in Ponte Vedra and had played Eagle Harbor a couple times… never as well as you just did. Sort of a ho-hum one over! I think a strength of yours’ is that you are rarely in trouble. And of course, your incredibly positive, confident attitude, I believe is worth at least a stroke and a half per round. I sincerely hope your range finder didn’t find itself in one of the bags of the group(s) behind you😡. But, because you’re you, I bet you never even “went there”. Anyone, this video is right up there with your best. Really cool watching you bring everything you work on and practice to bear in a tourney type round. See you in “The Bigs” one day soon! Greetings from Holland! Congratulations on your round and I love it that you're playing in Jacksonville, I grew up there! My oldest daughter's name is also Gabrielle (she's almost 23 now). Love your positivity and hope to see you in the Netherlands sometime! Don't forget your mud shoes if you come in the spring or autumn, it's crazy how messy it is here now!

wow,first time watching a full 18 holes event, the enormous pressure the qualifier have to face. plus the early wake up, the long distance drive for the parent. such a disadvantage just on fatigue alone.congrats on a great performance,despite these negagative circumstances.

I would honestly love to see content on the mental side of golf. I just turned 14 and golf is my main sport I currently shoot 80’s. The swing mechanics and everything is there but if I could have the mindset I need I could shoot 70’s more often. But your mindset is still amazing. The way you bounce back from bad shots and holes is just incredible

I have been golfing for 48 years. The next time I use a rangefinder will be my first. Take your cue from your 150 yards remaining marker. Gets you to within a few yards.

Your swing is potentially tour caliber. Get those wedges dialed in and you’ll drop several strokes per round guaranteed. I did 80% of my work 60 and in, did amazing things for my game. Best of luck in your future Gabby!
