HS golf coach here. I cant tell you how impressed I am with the mental game and positive thoughts right before you pull the trigger. Wonderful! I tell my kids that it's really hard to get rid of negative thoughts - maybe impossible. So instead, REPLACE them. No room for bad if you overload with good! Gonna share this video with my team.

“Golf is not a Game of Perfect,” is such a great book. Gabby is a brilliant ambassador for the sport. She’s completely mastered the mental game. It’s all about having fun, playing your best, respecting the traditions of the game and your competitors. Her parents certainly did right by her. Good luck!

You did good, kid. Here's a few things to consider: wear white or beige on sunny, hot days in Florida. Wear a hat and a bra that breathes. Synthetic fiber with an open weave can make a huge difference. Golf shoes with a side vent are a must for Florida. Stay in the shade or under an umbrella whenever possible. In practice time everything to your relaxed, natural breath, and then, do that on the course. If you get the jitters, focus on your breath. You did enough right to win a 10.5 hour marathon & you seemed to enjoy yourself. Never forget that: you're playing golf to enjoy it.

That was amazing to watch young lady. Good for you. You played with such confidence and grace and the win was yours from the beginning. Your attitude of taking it one shot at a time and swinging the club to the best of your ability on each attempt is the perfect strategy for winning. Just goes to show that every single swing matters regardless of if it is a drive, a lay-up, an approach or a putt. You are an incredible player and a better person. Sorry to comment multiple times but each time I watched it I was more and more impressed but that last time…..young lady, let me tell you, every weekend golfer, every HS golfer, collegiate and even some pros could learn from you talking yourself into a good shot all the time. I’ve been a student of this game for over 30 years and the biggest name that pops to mind when I think of this level of confidence and mental fortitude (although his is internal whereas yours is internal and external) ……his name is Tiger….

My son was a good junior golfer had he done as you do by focusing on the positive I think he could have been a great junior golfer. He was too hard on himself. You keep it up girl. The sky is the limit for you!!

Lots to like about this one! Of course, CONGRATS on the win! Truthful though, it was the mental side of the game that you showed here that was super impressive. The grind was in full display with the heat and the weather coming into play. Those are the kinds of things that can break a player but you not only battled, you excelled! That finish was spectacular and we couldn't be more proud. All your content is top notch and your team does it up right, but these are the videos that I like the most. "Competition Mode Gabby" is fun to watch! You can beat up on your brother in any old video... lol. Onward and upward! 🙌

Yesterday was my first high school try outs and i shot a 51 on the front 9 bc we only played 9. it's crazy you shoot in the 70s at your age and my dad couldn't do that his whole life. Keep up the good work you're so inspiring.

@@yenzen9112 Oh I TOTALLY agree. I say it all the time. People rail against the way kids are today, but it is my/our generation that is raising them. That being said, the schools, ie ignorant pathological ideologues disguised as "educators", have done a masterful job of marginalizing parents for decades. So, parents are certainly complicit, but many are simply guilty of being too trusting, assuming that their children were getting the same experience in the schools that they received, but it has been nothing close. And the brainwashing is so effective bc it is all allegedly done with compassion as the guiding force, and kids naturally want to be seen as compassionate, and kind and helpful and dutiful. So, it has been a very clever and devious sleight of hand. believe it.
