@@slotvalleyracing I just tried this with my AFX F1 cars and a few JAG Hobby chassis cars and they all work amazingly well without any mods at all. Especially the JAG cars. Running at 12V flat out with a track that has a lot of corners and they handled it really well. This was a great idea, thanks again!

Good job Dan! The best shoes AFX ever made were for the original G Plus. Amrac and Rokar used the same shoes for their X chassis. Rounded at the front edge to glide over track joints. Picture a pair of skis, for snow or water, they'd be awfully hard to use if they didn't have an upturned tip. So what we see here is understanding how things work and thinking outside the box. That's how advancements are made. Likely we would see a different shoe design from Viper/HCS if it weren't for more or less continuous rails on routed tracks. Nevertheless there would be a market for an improved shoe for plastic sectional track.

And I should have mentioned that near the end of production of Lifelike HO slotcars they brought back to life the X chassis. I don't think they sold individually since I haven't seen it but they did use the X chassis in a lot of sets. I would say a little better quality than the earlier Amrac/Rokar versions and you can easily identify the Lifelike by the clear plastic heat shield on the bottom which Amrac/Rokar never used. In all honesty that chassis is the perfect introduction to scale auto racing. User friendly until the motor brushes wear out. Long enough to get somebody "hooked".

Thanks for checking it out. So far I have mostly been running AFX cars on the Carrera Track but I'm gonna be trying 3 Tyco 440x2 cars that I hopped up a few months back.

First time I saw this was with BS Slots and on some HO slotcars. They add some braid also I think on Autoworld ones. Its fun watching them race these on their Politrak track. I have a a ho car coming from aliexpress I will try soon on my 1/24 Carrera track. If it works then I will have tested all scales on my track including the 1/43 different brands. Nice video you did here!🏁

it works great! the car I used has a lvl42 magnet in it. I may do some testing to see if magnets help or hinder

The digital pieces you can't have on your track while doing this are as follows... Single lanes cross over Lane change in the corner (in or out) If I have forgot one I'm sorry but unless someone says different in the comments I think that is it. and of coarse you will need to run the analog power terminal.

Got Ya I was just asking I have no idea as I don't own Carrera but I understand what you are saying cant have both on track and Analog Trans Former it is cool that some guys will be able to run HO and your shoe bending tip was awesome and will help guys get it right without experimenting as you did ...Thanks @@slotvalleyracing

it's easier with AFX because of the wide shoe, and how it's set up but technically it is the same process. so yes!

So what’s the verdict so far since you have some Carrera track experience ….Do you have more fun with HO or 1/32 overall ?

I really like the race liveries and the amount of different QUALITY cars available with 1/32 but I grew up on H.O. Now I fugured out how to have the Best Of Both Worlds!!! Oh, that will be my next KZfaq Short song from Van Halen!

This is 2 tracks with extras! spirit of speed ... Digital DTM forever... Analog And a few other track pieces. Pit lane, 4/15 curve, 2/30 curve, 3/30 curve ,16 straights and the switch pack!
