That lining is STUNNING!! I love a beautiful lining

The faux fur scarf really makes it pop! A fortuitous find. Lots of hand sewing will really eat up the time. My sister, who failed sewing in Home Economics 40 years ago, does all her hand sewing using fabric glue. Kid you not. Even works for sequins and beads.

I love 1930 s fashion, coats with lining is lots of fabric. Depending if the week is full time, or after work, I wish you luck. The adventure is fun, take your time .

I love everything your doing! I’m so inspired. I too, hit the wall with fast fashion and changing to buy and sell more!!! Ugh! I made the switch to the second hand market for almost all of my clothes. I am a sucker for Sezane still and sometimes Anthropologie because they have vintage inspired denim and shirts too. I took 4 years of cooking and sewing in high school 30 years ago. I can sew. I just ordered a vintage pattern and some cotton voile. Oh! To make my own 1930’s clothing!!!!!!

I love 1930s coats! I found a coat similar to this at Goodwill. I nabbed it even though its waaaay to big. I will be trying to alter it soon since its already chilly where I live. But its so beautiful! I love the lining of your coat!!

You'll have a better result if your pieces are kept pressed, starting with the fabric before you cut it and continuing as you handle the pieces. If you can see wrinkles on one piece going into a seam, your seam can't be perfect.

I would like to see more hands on teaching.

Did I panic sew a velvet bolero jacket until 2:30 in the morning the day before a wedding just 2 weeks ago? Why yes I did, is there any other way? 😅 The coat came out great!
