Also I just interchangably pronounce Ali in every possible way throughout this video and that's just the way life is sometimes, what d'you want from me?

That night, the distant sounds of battle still ring in her ears as she tends to the small fire shed conjured. The rain beats down atop the small ruin Badger had found for her and her sister to stay the night. The roof leaked incessantly, drop after drop eventually soaking her headwrap, and masking the tears she was trying to hide from her little sister. She would have to be strong. She thought of Camcol, tall and regal in his alien robes. She could hardly remember his face, given how little he took off his helmet, and then his mask. But she could almost still hear his voice. Telling her of battle, of war. Of magic and mysticism. Of protection. It had been his duty to protect Badgerhold- and as it’s namesake, he considered it his special duty to protect her. Had considered it, the thought crossed her mind. She didn’t think he’d let himself be captured. She thought of Ali, broad-shouldered and heavy-browed. The ritual healing she could do was magnificent. Badger had watched over the course of a day, the leg which had been so painfully taken from her by the beasts that had raided, regrow anew, just as if it had never been lost. It may have taken some time, but, Ali was always forgetful. She laughed despite herself, thinking of how Ali had apologized so profusely when she had remembered, and of the care she had taken when healing Badger’s leg. …The laughter tapered off. She didn’t want to wake Komodo. She would keep her safe and healthy. She swore it to herself. And as the fire of that determination rose, as she swore it to herself, to Camcol, to Ali, to Nele and Bilcomñio, and to all the rest of Badgerhold, the fire flared with it, nearly singing the ceiling. Camcol had been feared and revered throughout the world as a mage, able to cut through entire ranks of soldiers, leaving them convulsing and dead on the ground. They would wish it was Camcol they were dealing with as they watched everything they knew burn to ash and cinder. They would beg for her mercy as she set fire to their empire for what they’d done to her family, to her friends, to her home. And they would scream as they burned. Badger slept a little closer to the fire that night. And she smiled as she slept.

I'm honestly really excited to see where this story goes now

I actually love the "low tech scavenges futuristic tech" trope. And you doing that with CE makes me wanna start a tribal colony that does the same.

I literally started crying when Comcol helped the children escape, I did NOT expect the colony's story to end this way!! 😭 It was a grand adventure while it lasted, and I can't wait to see where Badger and Komodo end up!!

I really like the narrative that Ali has with her Psycasting, turning her into a sorta momma bear of the colony; She can heal the wounds of everyone around her, soothe their souls, and even cool them down when they're having a fever or the like. (I imagine some Icey hands were a common occurrence whenever Badger or Komodo were starting to get a little overheated.) But if you try and come in through that killbox... Or up from the mines... And you try and hurt anyone under her care? Death. Immediate and more deadly than even the strange crossbows of the sky people. She even wore their strange, almost alien magic armor, as a trophy *and* a warning. And it makes the end even more tragic when not even she could save that family in the end... Hopefully, though, she was at least able to keep jackal and fox away from the danger. Being raised by raiders is harsh, but the alternative... ...the alternative *isn't* an option.

I just wanna say, you’re the reason I got into Rimworld. I’m having a blast, so thank you!

really looking forward to exploring the story of our two survivors. Komodo and Badger are siblings, right? it'll be loads of fun watching them build a new home, put together an army and burn down some Enus settlements.

20:25 the exact same thing happened to one of my colonist, they kept losing body parts cause I forgot to deroof stuff and they became a mech person by pure accident

Since i began to watch your videos, i took different approaches to playing Rimworld, my current colony uses only flintlock muskets,gatling guns turrets and 12 pounder cannons, all wearing devilstrand clothing and armed with grenade belts just like british grenadiers while selling only beer,wine and tea, and despite being a quite hard self imposed challenge, the heavier mechs can only be killed with the cannon balls and fighting modern weaponry while having 9 seconds reloads between shots, but atleast the ammo is cheap and it really is a breath of fresh air to play weapons that everyone skips in favor of captured ones, thank you for the inspiration, love your videos!

I do hope you continue with badger and komodo, because this is really helping rimworld actually shine as what it claims to be: a story generator. A lot of the time, when i play at least, it really just is more of a colony sim, but this could easily be something way better

Edit: Just as I posted this it hit me that it has unfortunate implications that your videos are boring, let me assure you they are anything but. I also have watched them when not trying to sleep and they are wonderful, funny and immensely entertaining!

Personally, when it comes to feeding farm animals, I just set a tallgrass growing zone. Usually works, even if the pen says it doesn't grow enough food.

I watch a lot of KZfaq videos and rarely does one make me actually laugh out loud but here we are at the 8 minute mark and I've been reduced to laughing like a fool twice already. Great stuff.

Fun fact, the mend power from Vanilla Psycasts Expanded works on all the items a person is wearing/holding when you cast it on a person, it dilutes the power a bit by spreading it amongst their stuff but is still useful for when someone has a lot of low HP stuff they're using

Hazzor i love these series so much its just really really good to watch and the concepts are nice. Is it possible for you to do a similar thing MrSamuelStreamer where you actually make a collection of mods you use on Steam? This allows your viewers to instantly subscribe to all mods and include config files so everyone could get started. This also advertises you and your modpacks on Steam and can attract more people to your channel. I would love to try all of these setups you have for these videos but searching for all mods is tedious and can put people off. I hope you do this and I think it will be beneficial for your fanbase and your channel in general. Love these vids man

I was not expecting that ending and I am so invested in the narrative right now xD! Really my favorite is Camcol, he has that cool wizard mentor vibe along with Ali, who paired with Camcol is an unstoppable duo. Can't wait to see what Badger and Komodo do regarding their situation and if they'll be able to resque their fellow colonist. Also, I am unfamiliar with the mod but the necromancer thing that Badger unlocked could she revive the dead? Imagine brining back your dead loved ones after experiencing the traumas of abandoning your home from a raid of the empire. Anyways great video, Hazzor! Can't wait to see how things will turn out.

Hazzor this video is damn perfection. I was so excited when I saw that you were continuing the story. I do have a question as I have been trying to do this challenge, how did you make the food not rot/disintegrate? Edit: This story was so sadening having to see Camcol and everyone get killed or captured.....damn it now im sad

You know, while watching this, I just thought of an Isekai premise that might actually be interesting. A person wakes up in a field with some amnesia. They think they’ve been “reborn” in another world, but eventually they piece together thair memories and realize that they actually just crash landed on a medievel world that is more primitive than the one they came from. All these “magic” artifacts and ancient ruins respond the MC and they have an “affinity” for magic because unlike almost anyone else on that planet, the MC has a full suite of cybernetic implants (like haptic implants from Mass Effect or other subtle things that don’t enhance abilities but allow integration and control of technology). Perhaps a little twist on the “fantasy world that is actually a post-post apocalypse.”

Camcol: (loses arm) Dis but a scratch!

There is a mod called 'Choice Of First Psycaster Path' and it does exactly that. It gives the pawn 2 points and all schools locked, instead of one point and one random school on using the first neuroformer/getting bestowed the title. So you get to spend that 'free' point to unlock the school you want you pawn to have and still get another point for one skill.

34:40 Actually you can cast mend on pawns. It will spread the repair points among all items, so each of them would gain less durability but that's much better than micromanaging every item.

Its always exciting when you post since im completly incapable of playing rim world but still enjoying playing someone else do. It feels like there is so much meta knowledge im missing that it makes it a really big turn off playing it myself.
