In this video the surgeons discuss the use of Tylenol, also known as acetaminophen, and Advil, also known as ibuprofen. Ibuprofen, which is a non steroidal anti inflammatory or NSAID is metabolized by the kidney. So if you are healthy enough to take either of the medications, most of the time it is ok to use both medications at the same time as part of a multimodal pain treatment plan.
