Hey,,, yes our country is defiantly going through a lot of changes some really BAD &,,, not so good but,,, it seems like from American history for about 250 years ? Give or take we have had a few,,, hiccups from time to time but,, we have to hold our ground if we still want our freedoms so,, to help that out I think we should Remember +++ Pray to GOD first & foremost ❗️🇺🇸 ask HIM to help us to bring back to America & us to what HE intended for it so we can,,, continue & once that is done well,,, we will be where we’re supposed to be for me on my Vest I have a Patch in the back,, center says: Ride with GOD & small patch in front says: read the Bible scares the hell out of you. I’m thinking of getting a American flag,,, but,,, ? Yeah,, with everything that is & has been happening idk-? It’s so cR a Zy now until I remembered our history when this country was,,, young when the first settlers arrived & it was the 13 colonies so,,,, that’s the Flag I’m putting on my vest 👍😎 no,,, for me no upside down flag ❌

Interesting video, very informative. I actually pulled my vest out of the closet after watching to make sure I wasn't representing myself as something or someone who I am not. I'm proud of my country, I have an American flag on my chest over my heart with no other patches or pins above it. I'm a retired Navy Veteran (30 years service) I have a USN patch. I belong to HOG so obviously I have that patch. And like you I don't have all the rockers or pins but I do have a HOG mileage patch representing 100,000 miles. I've got way more miles than that but you know what I mean. I belong to one group, Society of Grey Beard Bikers with their patch and another patch that says "Do You Even Beard?' I've got the classic 'POW-MIA' patch. The Harley-Davidson #1 patch. My type bike patch Street Glide. I eat ice cream so I've got a round patch that says, 'Ride Motorcycles-Eat Ice Cream' with a picture of an ice cream cone in the center of it. Yeah, I've got 'Loud Pipes Save Lives' and a 'Back Off' patch of a skull wearing a bandana. And finally I've got my very personal nick-name patch 'Silver Fox' because I'm 71 years 'young' and my hair is silver! So...all that being said...I think I'm good! Enjoy the ride and ride safe!

13 is considered bad luck (especially Friday the 13th) because on the morning of Friday, October 13, 1307, 600 knights of the Knights Templars were arrested by King Philip IV of France. Their property and wealth was confiscated, they confessed crimes under torture and most were executed or imprisoned. They were so powerful and their downfall was so astonishing that 13 remains “bad luck” to this day.

Maybe you should learn to listen, it’ll keep you from posting replies that make you look like a schmuck.

"These are my church clothes" patch has a greater meaning than was mentioned here. Many 1% clubs refer to attending their club meetings as going to "church" and some members MAY take offense if you're wearing that patch and aren't a club member. It'll probably depend somewhat upon a combination of your attitude and theirs at the moment. A little respect goes a long way toward keeping the peace.

Remember that the patches are a way to show who you are. I had someone who didn't ride ask me if we are trying to show our individuality, why do we all wear the same patches? There must be a "biker patch starter pack". I've also been told by a police officer (I spent 18 years in emergency services) that trying to act and look tough, could tend to change the way they (police) will deal with you an emergency situation. Think about these things.

Good information for those who don't know. I hear a lot of young folks saying "I wear what I want" and yes you can. You can ware a Hells Angels patch and rocker they sell them on E-Bay. However, I pity you if they catch you in it.. I don't ware anything on my jacket because I don't care what others think of me or what I like or don't but it's fine if you do. No judgement. Peace Itchy. Hi Vee miss seeing you.

You are not what you ware, but those who need to have families often find comfort and pride in belonging to an organization, that can be sacred and Nobel. Brotherhood is sacred and has always been so, since the begining of time.

All Gentlemen’s Club fallow roughly the same rules regarding freedom of Dress Code. “Wear what you want when you want. It is what it is. But if you walk into the wrong hood wearing the wrong what you want...you gone get something you don’t want the way someone else wants it and it’s gonna be right now.”

I don't Ride in a Club , But I do wear patches. On my jacket I have a large Bar and Shield HD logo . Nothing else on the back of it and the front I have a small HD logo and 2 hard rock Cafe pins one from Edinbrugh and one from Pattaya. The reason for the HD patch is cos I managed to eventually buy a HD motorcycle completely custom ( dream come true for me and very proud of it ). As for my vest I have a lot of Flag patches on them of places I have travelled to in my life. The vest is valuable to me and me only cos if I have not been to a place the patch doesn't go on. Not all of them are flags but will state their a place of the Country I had been to.

13 actually represent the 13 first clubs that broke away from the AMA events. It would be the early 1% patch.

I was told, fifty + years ago, that the 1% was a guy who was a hustler for the club. He didn't have a job and didn't pay taxes. He was the guy who could "get" things. He might have done somebody else's time. Patches, tattoos, as well as helmet stickers, trinkets and paint, can identify a participant in many other unmentionable activities. The soldiers coming back from WWll confiscated mementos from the krauts. Iron Crosses, buttons, helmets, jewelry, patches, etc. They got traded and passed down through the years.

The Iron Cross has MANY meanings WELL predating the Germans introduction of it in * 1813* . Celts, French, Goths all had them in the medieval period. and one of the most over looked was the Crusader Knights for the Catholic church. the idea that it is a symbol of hate cause of a mid 1930s dictator is just annoying as all *F* to me.

I do have a SOA Jacket that has the top rocker and the reaper. I got it from my brother for Christmas. I have only wore it out handing candy to the children on Halloween. We did have 6 guys riding Harleys that had the vest with the three piece patch set and mc on the back. In Facebook groups for SOA and Mayans there's always someone who wants to know where they can buy the Patch Sets. I always tell them bad idea. Some listen, some tell me to F Off. This was a very interesting subject Itchymoche.

I'm not a rider myself but grew up with quite a few. Some of their lessons still stick. Patches: 1. A unit you served with in the military. 2. The make of the bike you're riding. 3. The logo of an organization you're a member of in good standing. 4. Anything you are, and can prove you are; NOT something you want to be. 5. If you're a free rider, they make 'No Club' and 'Free Rider' patches that don't conflict with major clubs. 6. NEVER claim to be something you are not. I literally knew a guy who claimed to a member of a fake club. When the locals found out about it, they kicked his ass and had 'Punk Bitch' tattooed on his chest. When in doubt, wear a clean vest. The ass kicking you save will be your own.

All of the "old schools" AKA Greybeards I knew always had a 13 and a half, rather than JUST a 13. THAT patch stood for 12 jurors, 1 judge and a HALF*SS CHANCE. I BELIEVE that when the founding fathers that originally STARTED the motorcycle gangs in the 50's and 60's wore the 13 had something to do with the fact there's 13 rings in an actual hangman's noose. (which was rumored to stand for 12 jurors/1 judge tho SOME say they stood for for the original 13 colonies.) I was told this from by Father, was Road Captain for the Saints mc after the war and before retiring in the 80's, may he R.I.P. Thomas "Wolf" Cunningham, Greatest man I ever knew! Later on came the represention of the letter "M", and depending on WHERE your from could mean what itchmoche said or just that the person liked to partake in those particular festivities, lol.

Excellent way to explain the concepts, Thanks for that. I do not agree with your comparison between an uniform and colours, however. It always amazes me how America can hold its freedom and the forces that defend it (army, law enforcement) in high esteem, and at the same time accept that some criminal gangs (that is what being a 1%er means, right?) impose their view of the world to everybody that rides a bike. But that's just me maybe.
