CAN IRELAND WIN EUROVISION 2024?

As is now customary, the channel will focus on the Top 10 or so favourites to win Eurovision 2024 (going by the bookies), and answering the question, CAN THEY?
In each episode I will take a look at:
The nation in question
Its history at the contest
Last year's Performer/s
This year's Performer/s
The Song
What's Going For it?
What's Going against it?
Will Juries Like it?
Will Televoters Like it?
My Verdict on whether the country can win, or not.
Next up it's: IRELAND
I find it surreal to be considering the potential of and Irish win as by now we have become accustomed to Ireland not qualifying for the final, never mind being in the Top 10 in the betting odds.
This time though, things feel different!
Ireland is being represented by Bambie Thug and the song "Doomsday Blue".
Can this performer capture the hearts, AND VOTES of the viewers and juries alike and bring Ireland its 8th win?

Was in 90's, definitely not this year! (There isn't powerhouse country in this year, weak year.)

Thanks Padraic. You’re totally right about thinking that Bambie could win the while Eurovision after winning in Dublin. I thought the same. I don’t think we will win but we stand out! Hopefully to qualify and then land top 10 in the final. Wasn’t Ryan Dolan amazing in 2013!? I thought it was modern, engaging and he looked great. Still one of my favourites from Ireland.

I still can’t understand how Ryan Dolan didn’t do much better. Vocally he was 10 out of 10 for me.

Yes, it's far too good to win, some low trash muck will win, that clown in a blue suit with shoulder pads or that grass hopper from Croatia with guy Liner and a pirates shirt, baby potatoes or whatever. In Eurovision the lowest quality mass consumable trash always rises to the top, unless it's ireland.

Honestly, I can see a pathway for it. People underestimate juries and think they only go for conventional ballads. Remember though - Cha Cha Cha still did very well in the jury last year. So if Bambies whole package is big enough of a WOW, its entirely possible for them to get big televote AND jury. Bambie's vocals are strong keep this in mind! Also in a more tangential way, the storylines for an Irish win are huge. Defending our title against Sweden IN Sweden, also breaking a curse of terrible performance for the past decade. Bring in a new era of Ireland in Eurovision. The storylines just add up, also Bambie is half swedish, so thats something too.

Better than anything I've seen in eurovision for years. Having said that I'm a rock fan and most eurovision voters go for the cheesy 80s style pop songs

I love Bambi but I don’t think they can win unless the song is changed up. It’s unusual for a song to start from loud hard then switch to soft jazz then to loud hard to soft jazz and in such a striking genre shift. Usually songs build up and rest and build up again and this drops and drop before it builds. I wish they did it the other way around - started jazz, build up to hard, dropped to jazz and then build up again and then do the solo and then the finish. While it’s amazingly original it just drops at the wrong time ans makes it feel flat and it does this twice. So I really don’t like the order but I love the ending. If she can visually find a way to connect a the segments really well so it flows + an amazing performance it could do top 5. But that’s the top end. A top 10 would be amazing and would send a signal to other Irish talent to compete next year at a high level and also send a message to RTE to get its shit together and stop seeing Eurovision from 1997 perspective
