ISFJs are certainly generous people, who strive to care for the needs of others. ISFJs can often be so generous that they forget to care for their own needs. Most of the time ISFJs struggle to stand up for themselves, so people tend to exploit them and take ISFJs kindness for granted. ISFJs are rarely short-tempered people, but when an ISFJ does unleash their anger in an all-out attack, it's because their emotions have reached critical mass and they can't keep them locked away anymore. ISFJs don't enjoy holding onto negative emotions, but they can hold a grudge in certain situations. ISFJ will have a hard time letting go.They can harbor a grudge for a rather long time though, and it will take a lot for them to forgive.

Can ISFJ get angry? Yes. Absolutely. And if we avoid showing our anger in public is for people's good because this is exactly what happens. If you wrong us or someone we care about, especially the second, we unleash the beast. As I use to say we are the Defenders. And defending means to fight for who and what truly matters.

I have an ISFJ who is the most easily angered person I know and even though he tries to hide it it's pretty obvious and sometimes even funny. I don't know if that's a common trait of the type but I just find it so annoying cus it's always surpressed anger that shows in passive agressive ways and I'm too direct of a person for that.

Something I often think about is that ISFJ can get themselves really whipped up if they feel they were taken advantage of or neglected. However, if they find out later the situation was not what they thought it was, oh, how badly that must take them apart... I do not envy the ISFJ in that situation.

I feel like INTPs are much harder to anger than the ISFJ but once they loose their nerves the ISFJ would be crying.

Man, watching ISFJ now making me believe that maybe my mbti test is right for making me ISFJ despite the 2 point difference with INFJ for the S&N.

I feel this to my soul and honestly, I prefer it to about every other emotion. Its not a long-term solution (or any solution), but sometimes its necessary, its time, & its liberating. Almost like being an ESTJ for awhile. :) It's like a pressure value was just opened & years of suppressed emotion, abuse, neglect, etc, was just released & the ISFJ has nothing to lose or if they do - fudge it! Naturally, some restraint/shred of common sense needs to remain (I'm not certain we can ever fully lose that for long or at all). And if we're standing for someone else or something else, it's likely to be even more fierce & unapologetic - & less likely to lead to regrets once the anger cools.

Well, then, you probably haven't been in a very “witty environment”. That doesn't have to do with the type. 😒 Or maybe you haven't caused them the need to be this kind of “witty”, which is good for you.

@@CineShinya Yeah I guess. My mom is a isfj, and because we're similar in the fact that we've got all but one letter in difference, I help her keep in her humanity. She only get frustrated when stressed.

@@ByHisGrace443 Oh, that's interesting actually. My both parents and I have, as you put it, all but one letter in difference with each (ESFJ mum and ISFP dad, I'll let you guess my type if it's not clear already 🤣). And while we have too, an understanding overall, this one letter can do a huge difference when it comes to P vs J, which might even pass unnoticed in the children - parents relationship....unless you have to work or cooperate with each other. Then it can cause a real issue. So, you are lucky your mother and yourself don't have this kind of conflict and you don't get to often see her frustrated side. ISFJ is often called "the calm strength", I've been called that at work especially. But we are still people, much more than our type. And people can still be different, with different cultures, mentality, environment, experiences, education and values that define them. So...returning to the "witty" matter, it depends. And let me tell you a secret many ISFJs I've discuss with agreed that it's true. We often think as an INTJ would, only that our purpose is the greater good. We always know what your innermost weakness is, but we won't use it the way INFJs might do sometimes. We draw the line there. And we also have often the urges of comments and debate the way ENTPs do, but we' ve learnt to keep it down so nobody will get hurt. It's a decision. MBTI itself is a system that explains the mechanism behind each' types decisions. But the entire spectrum of the person as a whole, is not defined by general rules. We are individuals. Have a nice day and thanks for your patience if you read all my train of thoughts 🤣

@@CineShinya I enjoyed your nice comment. I think mbti was created to bring some deeper understanding into ourselves.. It can mold a person depending if they do take it seriously. In the beginning I did, but in the end I got all I needed from it, and now I moved on to the next stage. I most certainly use my people reading skills on others, like I do with my mom. She understands me more than any other person because I've told her some of what I do and think. Sometimes she doesn't like my ways because she thinks I'm doing wrong. I sometimes feel like I'm raising her.😄 My mom needs me so so much to cope with her partner who's a mess of a man....Anyways in the end, the person I saw on that video is absolutely not what a isfj is about, and if anything that isfj is in pain, because to have such exalting behavior one must be driven out of their mind...and he was.
