Am maybe check behind you first then? lol! Like what's the difference between checking before you pull up you phone (or open your laptop lid or turn it on) or after it unlocks to that unlocked screen?? Also, if you didn't notice that someone was standing behind you or simply failed to check before you pulled up your phone or open your laptop lid, why would you suddenly remember to check or become aware of the that person 1-2 sec later when you swipe up to get into the phone?? Sorry, but your comment makes absolutely no sense. Especially not, since there's absolutely no sensitive info about you on your home screen. Well, unless you're dumb enough to have a photo of your bank balance or yourself naked as backdrop, lol! Also.. No, absolutely no, that's not why you get to the unlocked screen or whatever it's called. It's because Apple wants to condition you regarding how a smartphone should look, feel and operate. All to make you dislike the unfamiliar and weird feeling of unlocking an Android phone, after years of iPhone usage. You know, if you ever would get the idea, to maybe switch. Because if every iPhone model is like this, and you buy and use two or three in a row during a number of years without switching to Android, most people will be quite annoyed at least the first week or two at a minimum, when they try an Android after all those years of iPhone. And most won't try it for more than a half an hour in some store, before they decide. And thus, they are going to feel the most uncomfortable possible about the change and so, probably just buy another iPhone. Yes, Apple is one of the most sinister and worst when it comes to customer manipulation. You'd be surprised how fooled we all are on a daily. And obviously not just by Apple. But like I said, they are by far one of the absolute worst.

Question... M1 Pro & Max both have Thunderbolt connectivity. Wasn't Thunderbolt an Intel only technology ?

Perhaps the micro fiber cloth only “supports” supported devices? Not the ones for which the support has been discontinued? I mean why would they list devices anywhere if the support has been discontinued.

What about the Mac Pro, how are they gonna beef up the M1 chip for it while keeping the modular configuration
@TrioLOLGamers
@TrioLOLGamers 2 жыл бұрын
They probably won't... Apple today wants to make nothing swappable, even in an iPhone you can't replace anything (on the 13 series). The M1 is also a way to not put swappable SSD/RAM: if it dies, it dies, no backup... No way to recover files contacting WD or Crucial (and Apple doesn't care about warranty unlike some other companies... Look at HP: they even let you to use other ram sticks and not loose warranty). Also today you can't use an external GPU and the biggest manufacturers of GPU are AMD and NVIDIA (that owns ARM). The M1 is great. But the way they've made it is to not make it repairable: a lot easy to produce (they just need to pay TSMC, costs more, but it's easier) and a lot easy to repair because you'll just say to the costumer "it died... Probably your fault because it's all soldered, so Noone can discover where the break is". Like I've said, great SOC, but poor repairability and modularity.

How does the Thunderbolt work with M1 chips? Like the AMD chips mostly dont support Thunderbolt as its Intel proprietory ... 🤔

I mean, 2016-2020 MacBooks *are* pretty future-proof in terms of port connectivity. They're just a pain if you use HDMI or SD cards semi-regularly.

That the status bar is a tiny bit longer than the notch most likely has some visual reasons. They want you to see that it's still one single bar and that the notch is not a spacer between two separate bars. Just like they did on the iPhones for example. And it probably would look worse if it's flush.

I use chrome in full screen mode.... the menu bar hides away when i use it this way. How is the notch NOT going to cut into my tab bar? because my tab bar is at the very top edge of the display in fullscreen mode which tells me that im going to actually not be able to see a tab or 2 because of the notch, but I digress. I guess we will just have to wait and see how the new macs handle this. and I'm curious if apple will have that handling baked into the OS or if they leave it up to developers.... if it's left up to developers - I'm scared, because it will probably be a terrible experience for awhile.

No it won’t. In full screen, black bars are added to mask the notch. These screens are a bit taller than 19:10 so that you gain screen estate in not full screen and you have 16:10 rectangular screen estate when in full screen.
