Can Michigan Football Repeat as College Football Champions?

Can Michigan football repeat as the national champions of college football or win their 4th straight Big Ten title? Well, those are two different questions with possibly two different answers. We will say this much; Michigan football will be a lot stronger than most people think ahead of the 2024 college football season.
Despite losing head coach Jim Harbaugh, starting quarterback JJ McCarthy and a bunch of other quality starters who moved on to the NFL, Sherrone Moore and his squad are still in good shape.
WHO IS THE QUARTERBACK?
The Wolverines still have to decide who their starting quarterback will be and that is no small task. But they have a room full of players to choose from. And a look ahead to their 2024 college football schedule shows three critical games on the slate. If they win one of the three, they are a playoff team. If they win two out of three they may win the Big Ten. We will point out those games for discussion.
BIG RECRUITING ANNOUNCEMENT!

Any year after a 15-0 record, winning the National Championship, B1G Championship, and defeating osu, is a step back, unless repeated. All goals have been achieved. Only path left when you are at the peak of the mountain is to remain there or to descend. Any struggles this year, be it minor or major, will be viewed as a set back. It is the reality of reaching the top and being the Champion. 1st world problems.

This is only true sometimes. this year, they can achieve even more if they go on to win a 12 team playoff, effectively going 17-0. I would say that exceeds merely repeating, as you claim.

Craig, you’re one of the few sportscasters to put out such a notion. The rest of the nation sportscasters seem to be overlooking Michigan again this year. I agree, they may not go undefeated again, but if they beat TX watch all the pundits switch their collective tune. BET 〽️

The Texas game will determine it for me. If they can win that I think they've got a good shot because I'm positive that Texas will be as good or better than every team Michigan will play in the Big Ten, and the SEC championship game will be between Texas and Georgia in a rematch of the regular season game.

Ohio State will be better than Texas. Michigan absolutely should be favored against Texas, in my opinion. Michigan s being hella snoozed on because of the national media's ignorance and inability to dive as deep as they need to into this roster to see what type of talent is filling in.

Case for Davis Warren. In that spring game, when it got competitive, they had Orji running one offense, and Warren on the other head to head. Warren was more composed and poise. And only Warren lead his team to tuddys, and brought home the win for his side.

Whoever plays QB at Michigan, they'll have one of the best returning backs and best returning receivers in the country in Edwards and Colston. Morris will be a stud too. He olayed a lot last year and outran the entire Bama defense to the goallone in the Rose Bowl. Michigan doesn't win that game without that play! Frederick Moore is also everybody's pick for breakoit offensive player this year, and a lot is expected from Semaj Morgan after his breakout freshman season.

As someone who bleeds blue. We won't go undefeated. But I do see us going to the playoffs and maybe the big ten final. I think we end with two loses total.

Case for Orji is simple.. potential.. he could potentially develop into Lamar Jackson kind of player.. potentially. I would like to see this one personally… because a true duel threat QB is almost impossible to stop IF he can diagnose the defense well enough to take advantage of it. If AO can pull that off, then we WILL be B10 champs again. Possibly more. Our D is going to give us a chance every game. He just has to do enough.

Warren 1A, Orji 1B. I want them both to see the field and i think we will. Tuttle we haven't seen in a bit so he's an unknown to me this year. Either way i trust our coaching staff to make the right/best decisions..helps that our style of offense lessons the importance of the qb position

Davis was the best QB in Spring practice the year before too. Orji is the consummate leader...a very bright, articulate young man with elite athletic talent. So much ignorance from people who simply do not know. The starting DL will feature the exact four who were on the field to blow up Alabama's last play of their season. Moore's rehab is way, way ahead of schedule and they are talking about a mid-season return.

UM better hope a #2 RB emerges to help Donovan out with the workload. They're going to need him at 100% to get through that schedule.

‘Can’ they? Sure, I’ve seen weirder things in sports 🤷🏼‍♂️ lol. UM still has a stout defense and experienced O-Linemen and a good running attack. I think realistic ceiling for this UM team is what Bama was last season (minus the conference title); good 10-2 squad or a hyper competitive 9-3 team. Thats my most objective look at it as a Michigan fan.

I’m sorry Craig, I love the podcast, but you’ve got to drop the “Denegal might be the best backup to Orji because he can run take.” You don’t get compared to Big Ben because you’re athletic 😂. In his 24 game high school career he only had 375 rushing yards. He’s a statue and a pocket passer. The truth is we don’t have anyone nearly as mobile as Orji on the roster, the next closest would be Tuttle and the gap is as big as the Grand Canyon

Anything is possible, especially since it’s July and speculation is all anyone has plus checklist of unknowns. Some of the unhinged, hype beast YT shows, not this channel, have figured out best WR room, Heisman winner, crowned a champion and 1st pick in the draft. At least this show goes deep on analysis, minus the fanboy emotion. That said: Michigan’s floor is 8-4, ceiling is 9-1 based on zero factual evidence, just spider senses.

Absolutely Not as National Champion !!! -They won't be allowed to cheat. (Thus not keeping team healthy as last year) - Won't get the 2nd Best SEC team. (Bama never should have made it after upsetting the injury plagued Georgia Bulldogs) - May be banned from post season from cheating. - Coach bailed on them, cause he was Guilty !!! - Won't have a Senior filled roster with tons of experience. *** They didn't have to cheat to win, but they did. Got caught (should have been banned from playoffs last year) Now most likely a Vacated N. Championship 😂😂😂
