Beautiful results! Polywatch is not easily available in my country, so I use toothpaste with similar results on my 1964 Omega Speedmaster Professional.. and to check if your Omega plexiglass is original, you should be able to see an Omega logo in the centre of the plexiglass. It is not easy to see and you would probably need a loupe under a good light source.

@Daud 1976 - i’ve heard of the toothpaste trick but I’ve never tried it. Thank you for sharing! I have also heard that buffing compound for cars works as well. Your advice about the original crystal is accurate… I found out that I do have the original crystal! I found out in a funny way… I took a photograph of the watch in sunlight, and I saw a shadow of an omega symbol being projected on the dial. I thought I was going crazy! And then I figured out that the shadow was coming from the crystal. Awesome bit of trivia! :-)

@@WatchWithMike Most welcome! I am glad you found the logo (and a genius way of you finding it too 😁). I inherited my Omega from my late father and also only a few months ago I found the Omega logo on the plexiglass. In all my years and playing with his warch as a kid, I never knew it was there.

@@danielhall4582 Polywatch and toothpaste are similar products, except Polywatch has not got that nice minty freshness. 😄 Seriously, toothpaste does work in much the same way as Polywatch. It will just take more elbow grease. But well worth it.

@Saxon Spillett - What an awesome legacy! Mine was a gift from a dear uncle when I turned 16. The Omega Seamaster is a highly collectable (and valuable) watch that's available in many forms to this day. Check out all the new versions on the Omega site: www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watches/seamaster. I recently found this really good website that does a deep dive (pun intended!) into the Seamaster 300's of the 1960's: www.omegaseamaster300.com/ Hope you like it!

For all of you haters out there saying polywatch is fake or that this video is fake - stop spreading misinformation and test it for yourself. I recently got a vintage Edward Heuer & Cie 188.215/1 chronograph and had multiple scratches on its acrylic crystal. I bought polywatch, applied and rubbed multiple times as this acrylic had quite a few scratches and some deep ones and after about 20 minutes in total, this acrylic looks like brand new, even the deeper grooves have diminished. It was a pleasant experience to do this and I am thankful I discovered polywatch. Great little piece of product.

@@WatchWithMike It definitely is. It reminds me of an old product I've seen on teleshopping some years ago where they would apply a similar paste on car scratches and the scratches will go away as the compound was filling in the scratch. Not sure what magic polywatch have, but I was really amazed of the results. Skeptical at first, but all reviews I read including on KZfaq and amazon seemed to be posted by happy customers. The ones that complain this is fake, probably have tried polywatch on something else than acrylic.

Daniel, that’s a great question! Polywatch is formulated to work on plastic, so I don’t know if it would have any affect on a glass watch screen. I don’t think it would hurt, so it may be worth a try. If you do it please let us know how it goes!

Steve, I have heard that, and I've seen a couple of comparison videos using toothpaste and automotive buffing paste, compared to polywatch. Another one of my viewers said that Polywatch has an oil in it that the acrylic likes, and I tend to agree. I think it would be fun on my channel to compare a bunch of these scratch removing products. What kind of toothpaste do you think is best?

Hardlex is a Seiko proprietary glass they use on their entry-mid tier watches. It is still mineral glass, so not shatter proof like acrylic, but more scratch resistant than acrylic but still less than sapphire.
