BRO YES ive been playing alot of the new skarner in the jungle and ive been taking after shock and taking bamis then rushing heartsteel and then getting hollow or sunfire

I've been running Conqueror, Spear of Shojin, Iceborne into AD (Hollow Radiance into AP), build the one I didn't build of the previous items, situational item, Jaksho with Ionian Boots. You get a lot of Qs and can play poke if necessary.

False, Skarner's passive only gets applied on his autos, his Q, and ult His E and W don't count towards the stacks.

I'm no expert but I had a game with Skarner that wasn't great but I was eventually able to build full tank items and I was still getting shredded. There's probably a lot of reasons but it felt underwhelming nonetheless. If he doesn't scale as jungler then it kinda feels bad lol

Heartsteel seems troll. Unless you're against a melee heavy enemy comp (which is not this game clearly), it's bad gold efficiency. It's also a "stacking" item, so it's imperative that you rush it asap. Going Bami's Cinder first just delays your powerspike by 1000 gold. Also, Grasp of the Undying has never been good in jungle; this person probably forgot to swap Runes in draft. This just seems like one of those "let's wing it" games.

Throwing the rock is less damage than hitting them with it auto in melee.

He needs to build tons of ability haste, this build has none

The problem is you literally cannot, I repeat *CAN NOT* pick it into any kind of early game jungler who can invade. You will 100% be murdered on second buff unless you want to force your mid and top to come hold your hand. He is just that weak 1v1, and needs E which is his only escape, to have a hope of clearing on tempo. I've absolutely ground every Skarner I've run across into the ground with a second buff invade on...hey, your favorite champ, Briar! Then used that lead from invading him over and over for free kills to just run over the map for wins. If the enemy JG actully lets you get a full clear off into a gank, they are inting. Your team needs to carry you *so hard* through the early game, and at anything other than super high ELO, you simply cannot rely on that level of assistance from 4 randoms so that you can scale to carry them with massive CC through late teamfights. By all means, sell this champ to players in my piss ELO on the premise it can 1v1 decent junglers (ie not Kayn).
