Mindanao is one of those places in the Philippines that foreigners are often told not to visit. But things there have certainly changed. They even have real hobbit house hotel rooms that you can stay in on the cool mountains of Bukidnon that rival places you've seen in New Zealand.
The weather was so cool that we even managed to light a fire indoors and roast Marshmallows together. We can't believe the Philippines has something like this hidden away in somewhere so random as MalayBalay on mainland Mindanao.
