So I got out with the dropshot kit on a small river stretch above the main lake, fishing in February so not quite sure what to expect, using tiny 2inch lures for a bit of fun, watch until the end to see how I got on!

Great session. Thanks for the explanation of bouncing the lead off bottom in the canal, a technique I think I’ll try in a small nearby river. Great content. Ps It was -28C here in Northern Ontario, hence I’m jealous.

Thanks man its good craic on the light gear, the wind noise was the only thing that bothered me 😂 I’d say another 2-3 weeks and the pike will really wake up and turn proper active before they go to spawn👌

@@senanstanleyfishing the wind drives me mad when I head out with the camera to but it wasn't bad in the video. Yea was out today myself got hit by 4 pike one around 9or 10lb the rest tiny only landed one 😅but they are definitely starting to show up more frequently over the last 2 or 3 weeks. It can only get better now 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I haven’t caught a perch in 3 months 😢, got my first fish of 2023 the other day in Laois angling centre, new PB for me, 6 pound not too big but still a fish.

@@senanstanleyfishing love a dropshot...u should try some creature baits on the dropshot they normally pick out the bigger fish i find 👊🎣

Thanks Pauric, she was long but fairly lean, would say only between 6-9 lb there wasn’t any condition on her at all, just fairly long 😅

Sometimes it’s all pike and no perch on the dropshot, the pike can never refuse those little perch lures 😂🙌
