Can't Buy Me Love is a 1987 American teen romantic comedy film directed by Steve Rash,[1] starring Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson in a story about a nerd at a high school in Tucson, Arizona, who gives a cheerleader $1,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. The film takes its title from a Beatles song of the same title.

One of the best movies of my age. There was a lot of silliness and comedy in this movie but the underlying current of friendship was played out beautifully.

Darcy, sucha pretty baby!! I met you're friend Amanda back in 98' she was a real spanner in the works. What she did to me made me wonder for years about what she wanted. I love her , don't get me wrong! She took me down, emotionally!
