Just started diagnosing the washer issue on our 2007 ford explorer; Original problem; wife said no washer fluid. The problem is some kind of slimy gooey in the tank mess that won't let the pump work. Will finish fixing tomorrow. Earlier in the day after it sat for a while it had good pressure then went to weak stream.

Thank you. My fluid was non-antifreeze and while visiting KY the temp dropped to -5. The leak was obvious - a hose connection I snapped back in place with no problem. Then it still wasn’t flowing. The second leak was another pull-apart connection. This leak was the line running under the hood insulation which was easy to remove using a rivet puller. The line had pulled apart when it runs into the spray nozzles.

A coworker had a works van that kept dumping the washer fluid, when I mentioned why they didn't top it off, as I occasionally had to use it( she was day work,I was night).She got snotty and said she did every day! I had a quick look, a feed pipe had become loose, the place I worked at was a motor trade based operation, a zip / cable tie from the stores fixed it in seconds.

Thanks for the video. Helped me with solving the low spray flow issue with my 2012 Mazda CX-5. Checked everything else before finally finding a messed up check valve. I drilled it out and all is well. I think the purpose of the check valve is to keep the line from draining back to the reservoir after use. Not critical but it is a nice feature. I ordered new check valve on Amazon and will replace. Thanks again for your efforts in making useful videos.

I have a Fit since new and had an issue with the washer fluid from day one. The dealer tried it and said it works as per normal. They do not listen to customers. I explained that the pressure is weak when driving over 60 kmh (40 mph) any time, and also is weak when it is cold outside. Washer fluid is rated for -40 C, so it is not an issue of freezing. I checked the pump and lines; all are good and clear. Any idea as the cause?

THANK YOU ! ARE THERE NEW TYPE OF LINES OUT THERE TO REPLACE THE ONES THAT CAME WITH YOUR VEHICLE ? MY TRUCK IS 20 1/2 YEARS OLD & FORD SAYS THAT THEY DON'T CARRY THAT PART LIKE A BUNCH OF OTHER PARTS WHEN YOU NEED THEM. HAD TO GO TO A BUNCH OF AUTO PART STORES TO FIND & REPLACE THE PLASTIC ELBOWS / THE RIGHT INNER DIAMETER SO THEY WOULD FIT IN THE ORIGINAL HOSE & MAKE THE RIGHT PRESSURE TO SPRAY THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WHERE IT'S SUPPOSE TO GO/ GET / MOST OF THE TIME IT HAS ALL THE PRESSURE & SOMETIMES LESS , I GUESS THE TEMPERATURE HAS A LOT TO DO WITH THAT . PUT NEW WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP IN , THE ORIGINAL ONE WAS STILL WORKING GOOD SO IT'S A SPARE . DO YOU HAVE ANY VIDEO ON 1999 XLT 4.6 L EXTENDED CAB DOORS REPLACING THE CABLES INSIDE THE DOOR SO YOU CAN OPEN / USE THE DOORS AGAIN ? What causes the front hose on windsheild water reservior to come off? I can't use my windsheild washer?

I worked on one had weak pressure I unhooked the hose where the hood hinge is and blew air into the washer pump tank it cleared some sledge that was blocking it and fixed the problem.

Is there a fliter on the line? I ran my fluid out, was working fine...refilled it and now its got almost no pressure. Seems like a clog, maybe sludge at the bottom of the resevoir - but you didnt go that far. 2016 Ram 1500

My nozzle only sprays with the hood open. I close the hood and only squirts a little water. What can it be?

Those are great squirters, fan spray covering whole windshield. My 2005 Prius has tiny holes that clog up. Any tips on how to not only clear them (I've used a single bristle from a handheld wire brush), and to get 'em aligned (they pivot on a ball)? That alignment has me pulling my hair out. I try to make a tiny adjustment and it goes too far, then back, and forth,etc. etc. etc. P.S. What's your take on youtube no longer sending emails when a video is posted??? Its the only way I get notification. No real reason to be subscribed without those emails, IMO. RichE San Diego, CA

Do u know anything about dodge chargers hose when it sprayed on hood or inside hood I need help with 2019 dodge charger car plz I have a baby need transportation and way to see with the windshield fluid and hose it’s showing the liquid dripping from the inside of the hood showing the hose isn’t connected anymore idk how to connect it back

Sometimes it's just calcium buildup from the water clogging the line, that's why I add a little vinegar to the reservoir once in awhile.

Hi my washer was not spraying, I took the bottom off to see what was going on I saw the front hose from reservior was off so I put it back and filled reservior and when started pum the same front hose came off and no spray!!! What is causing this hose to come off "builds pressure"? Is it plugged lines, jets or what? Please help me. Thanks

Low flow on the washer jets? My BMW Z4 washer reservoir was full of dirty black gunk and the filters were almost blocked. Removed it, cleaned it, problem solved.

What about the rear windshield nozzle on a 2006 Toyota Matrix. It just comes out in a stream instead of a spray. I'm not sure if that is normal. The front two nozzles seem okay.

2017 hyundai, 23,000 miles. Ran out of washer fluid. Filled container, nothing coming out. Mechanic said the nozzle on Pass. side was bad. Replaced it with nozzle from dealer. $180.00 bill. Picked up car, spray on driver side was weak then stopped working altogether. So Pass. side and back wiper and spray work. Took car back to mechanic they said everything worked right when done. Left car again to find out why. Received call it could be fixed for another $70.00. No explanation why even the low pressure stopped working. Told mechanic no, I was picking up my car. My keys were waiting for me on their counter.

Clear and helpful, shows that this is not rocket science. If you had shown more slowly how you remove the nozzle, that would help. I gather that it just snaps in, with a little pressure.

So what if you've done this, used compressed air on your lines, replaced the resevoir pump and you're still not getting enough pressure.......replace all the hose and look for a more powerful pump? I swear Ford under engineers the washer pumps in their vehicles, lol. My 2003 F150 has really weak flow, I'm about to just build my own setup so I can get enough pressure to the windshield for winter driving.

At 1:08 the left side was attached just fine until you started pulling on the entire assembly.. then you said well this wasn't even attached lol when you detached it yourself .. See when "mechanics" create problems then call you and say well this wasn't attached and give you a 800$ bill
