Banter Era but won more trophies than Tottenham and Liverpool combined in the last 10 years. It’s apparently success for Liverpool and Tottenham when they qualify for Champions league. When Arsenal qualified in the champions league with Players like Bendthner Chamakh Djourou Squillaci Denilson Eboue it was failure

tottenham hasnt got the history nor the money clubs like liverpool or arsenal have. Its not a fair comparison. They are being praised because even though they lack those aspects they can still end up very high in the league. Liverpool is a different story though...

You don’t get it. The point why it was maybe considered a failure for Arsenal was because they never took the next step. They were stuck in limbo, and whilst getting Champions League football for many seasons straight isn’t something to scoff at, they never did go further. Never did win it nor did they make the next step towards the league. Don’t get me wrong, Id love for Liverpool to have been consistent in achieving Champions League football, but unlike Arsenal we have made significant progress and hopefully won’t stagnate this season and may actually win a trophy. Don’t forget, we could have done the double a season or two ago with the Capital One Cup and the Europa League, and we could have won the Champions League last season. We’ve reached the finals. Now our next step is winning them.

IDK, yeah, we were top 3 on goals scored last season even with the attack we had. I feel like a great defense is what will really really give our front line some freedom. It's kinda like what neymar said in the WC, he claimed that people only see Brazil as such an attacking side because the forwards don't have to worry about the capabilities of the defense

I agree. But I think it comes from a place of ignorance and jealousy. Arsenal have had the same manager for 22 years and we were failing slowly towards the end of his term. We have every right to be excited about our new team when all we’ve been for years is sad, angry and disappointed

The signs are good, the players look committed like never before, they seem to have bought into Emery's ideas and the signings address specifically the areas Arsenal desperately needed to improve. It's only a matter of time and see if that translates onto the pitch, but for their first season under him getting back into the top 4 would be a success.

its so refreshing to start a season positively. Gone are the days were we will cry for signings. Altough our signings are not world class they are proper signings to fill the gaps that has been there for years together. Its refershing indeed. My only expectation in the upcoming season is to qualify for CL and more importantly fight hard every game win or loose leave every thing you got on the pitch.

Arsenal (obviously) won’t win the league but we’ll definitely see improvement from last season. Whether or not that’ll put us in the top 4 remains to be seen. Our defensive woes last season were detrimental to our season but I see Emery improving our back line and overall team defensively. To add, I’m not worried about us scoring goals.

The reason Arsenal are a joke club is mainly cos of the fans. The squad has always been halfway decent with top players but what turned it into a joke club is some of the "know it all" toxic fans who rate average players like Wilshere and Ramsey as something special and think every transfer, even unknowns like this Torreira kid are god in their positions. Like calm down, it's a decent transfer but I've heard Arsenal fans saying it's their year after getting a keeper on par with karius in terms of a mistake record and some random Uruguayan geezer as a cdm. The 2 other transfers made sense but they're way too old. Sokratis would have been a good transfer like 3 years ago or something and same with lich but the other transfers are either unknowns or overrated players. To sum it up, Arsenal fans have put this thought in their mind that they're still in the 2000s era where they were a top flight team but need to face reality and that is that Man city and Chelsea have been dominating the last 10 year's of premier league football basically.

We were a big club before Wenger. Also, literally no Arsenal fans slate the man now that he is gone. He was a fucking terrific, legendary manager and EVERY Arsenal fan knows that, sorry that you believe otherwise. Cazorla wasn't cut off... He was injured for a long time and was the best player on the team when he was fit. He was just a risk to keep because we didn't know how much his injury made him decline. Also, I still don't understand the Wenger hate at this point. His last 2 years were disappointing, but before that, he won a few trophies after the drought ended and qualified for the CL 20 years in a row. He kept the team in, something Klopp and Poch get heaps of praise for doing right now. And for much of the drought, Wenger got top 4 with a team that wasn't top 4 quality. He's an elite managerial legend, and Emery has huge boots to fill. Here's hoping he can do it.

From what iv seen in preseason and on the training grounds the team has really built up chemistry between eachother, I can see a spark atlast. especially auba and laca. including other factors I believe the title will go to either us or liverpool this season. my top 6 league predictions: 1. Arsenal/Liverpool 2. Arsenal/Liverpool 3. Spurs 4. Chelsea (only if they keep hazard, willian and courtois though) 5. Man City 6. Man Utd

Right now the only thing they really need would be a second top class winger. We have lacazette and aubameyang but those two should play in striker position. Someone like Lemar would have been perfect. They are still rumored to have interest in Coman but Bayern wont let him leave. If we'd just still have Sanchez. :( another signing I believe would have been truly great is Vidal, but he is off to Milan.

I only watch La Liga. Emery brings alot of stability and Emery is very good when it comes 2 games elimination. He could win EPL cause..La Liga is much harder to win tournament because you 2 best team in the World. And I'm sorry to say this but no one in the EPL can be compared to Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Jack Wilshere shouldn't have been let go. He's such an underrated player and I'm not an Arsenal fan whatsoever. Emery has a history of wasting players and being distant from his squad. I don't know why he was hired. I'm not too optimistic about it but like the video says, it really can't get worse for Arsenal so whatever.

canvas11xD Emery coached sevilla and got them from 9th to 5th in 1 season. He also won 3 europas with them as soon as he took over. Sevilla who were a mediocre club at best, they are probably the everton of spain. Also if you've watched football as long as i have, you'll know that psg isnt the greatest club in france. In fact, in the last 15 years, they only won the league title 5 times, in fact, psg hadnt won the league between 1994 and 2013. Lyon used to be the big french team.

Please don't bring Tottenham to appreciate Arsene's last 10 years. Once thing is for than Tottenham despite not having all the resources and being a selling club progressed more than Arsenal under Pochettino reign.
