That is the best comment I have seen in a while. I think sarri isn't going to go out and and spend big unecessarily and he said himself that he doesn't care about transfers. He will make some of our players world class like he did at napoli by coaching them

As a Chelsea fan I fully back the Conte sacking - was never a sustainable option and just there to guarantee short-term success like Mourinho. In my opinion we finally have a manager who the board is trusting to invest in a Chelsea team of the future, working from the bottom up. I think the board will give Sarri time, as he is literally changing the philosophy of the club, can't do it overnight.

Meanwhile Spurs haven’t won anything and have stuck with their manager. Just shows how different one club to another in terms of how they trust a manager to build a team and understand that trophies aren’t always the important thing. Even if Chelsea didn’t place well in the league after 16/17 I thought they did well. But their loan policy is one of the worst. Look how many talents they’ve lost. I’m willing to be the next KBD or Salah is at Chelsea but will never get game time there because the managers won’t play them

We are doing well atm. I would’ve loved Conte to stay but it’s obvious that the board doesn’t trust anyone. But you can’t blame the fans,players and the owner for the boards decisions. We need a new fresh boardroom and it will be fine. What’s annoying is that the board ask way too much and it’s one of few things I hate about my club 😔Managers should be given full control of the transfers and honestly... I think we should ban transfer from football for 2 seasons just to make the teams use their youth players or put a rule in that states each team needs to give at least 6 Youth players at LEAST 10 games in a season. Whether it be 20 minutes for 10 games or 10 full games. None of this “oh you play the last 5 minutes of added time”. Either 30 minutes or more or face a fine. I do love how Abramovich has said he WANTS the younger players in the team more often so hopefully Sarri listens

Football is the sport of surprises. I think having a manager year after year, and never knowing what direction your club is going in, furthers this point. Conte was a great manager, but he sold away the players that made his system work. He sold Costa, he sold Matic, and he never used David Luis last season. Sarri should be good for us, he knows his system and has created a new, evolved form of Tiki Taka. This should be a great season for us. No matter what I will always have Blue Blood 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️

Absolutely! The first time I ever remember this mentality in the Prem was when Abromavic first came in making Chelsea the only team at the time who had ridiculous financial backing, and he made it public that "I give you all the money you need and if you don't produce in 1 season you're gone". Typical investment mentality... not a sustainable strategy! Luckily now clubs are starting to smell the reality of teams needing to gel together and produce results and the level of the top teams around them progressing so quickly that we're starting to see a more long term mentality when it comes to the length of time a manager stays in his post. Otherwise it would eventually get ridiculous.

xpto41 City is not going to win it this season. They have the curse of the champions. Plus we have already seen how the team declined at the end of the season. Everyone would have found a solution to their style of play just like what happened to Chelsea where every manager was able to break down their 3 at the back strategy. Spurs will anyways fuck up, Arsenal have a new manager for years so they'll need time, maybe UTD have a chance because they have made the time to settle under Jose and his style of play. Chelsea also have a chance because they have the team who have played with each other for long now. Sarri is just there to guide them. At Chelsea it has always been the club managing the team rather than the manager. And maybe Liverpool too if they can manage to find some consistency. So I would say it's between Chelsea, UTD or Liverpool.

Yes, I forgot about liverpool... If they play with more consistency, they have a team to win the PL. The spurs need to start winning the cups before thinking of winning the PL. But as liverpool, if they have consistency, they can make positive thing during the season. United have a big chance but idw, things are not so good as mourinho planned to be. He needs to upgrade more the team. ARSENAL and chelsea have both new managers so im giving them time to settle and win big things after that

Coming from a Napoli fan, you guys have no idea how lucky you are to have Sarri. His style is SIMILAR to Pep’s, but it’s faster, more vertical, and with more one-touches. Hazard can hit a whole nother level this season. I used to despise Chelsea, but because of Sarri, I’ll be tuning in this season

We don’t have a long term playing style or vision. Our strategy is to chop and change and win occasionally to keep fans happy. If we cared about long term we would build a team with our young players and keep a manager for a while and back them.

From what I saw in the Pre-Season, Sarri played Hudson-Odoi and the kid was exciting to see! We Need more of that! look at the players we've delayed first team football till recent and either loaned them out or sold them! To name drop a few: Lukaku, De Bruyne, Baker, Mount, Cheek, Chalobah, going way back with a Young Marko Marin! and more! We need first teamer's like the Hazards, Azpi's and Jorginho's, but also a talented bench with our amazing Youth! blend the both together beautifully!

Yepp. Deliberately. My main poke was at the Youth, although salah was brought in he wasn't techincally classed as youth due to being like 22/23, wheras Hazard, his brother, Lukaku and De Bruyne were all like 21 and under if I remember correctly

The most frustated thing as chelsea fan was they kept pushing youth prospect out lime luka and de bruyne till loftus cheek and Chalobah. It was disaster. When i play Chelsea in fm for 2012-2014 series i was really optimistic about the future and going concern of academy,it was fantastic squad we could be better than monaco,but now? The absolute dumbest idea is to stick by a manager who happened to be good before. Just look at Arsenal EPL teams can afford to cycle through managers because the business of the game demands results. I think it's great that the EPL is starting to really flex its financial muscle and attract world class talent

No we did not start the trend of acting managers as I keep pointing out too many people when you actually do the research Porto have had more managers than us in the same time. I Roman Abramovich has been at of club. Bayern Munich of have the same amount of managers , and Real Madrid have had one less manager and we have and they're coming off of a manager who had unprecedented three back-to-back Champions League

As a West Ham fan the way I see it it looks like all the London clubs are going through a rebuild stage which is causing Spurs to look like the king's of London. I believe the next two seasons are really going to determine who are going to reign at the top six for the next 10 years.

I'm a dedicated Chelsea fan, and this video makes Chelsea fans look like they don't have a clue. Conte did not get sacked purely because he didn't win the premier league again. While I'm not a member of the Chelsea Board, I'm going to take a guess that Conte's sacking wasn't driven by a lack of trophies. As a fan, trust not just in the club but the administration. Like you really have a choice. Antonio Conte was incredible, much thanks to him. Now to the future.

I'll tell u what's going on at Chelsea a majority of the fans are buzzing for the new season we've signed a baller in Jorginho, yes we haven't signed some of the players we'd of liked but we're still positive we haven't felt this excitement in a while. And Roman is still leading the club and still putting a lot of money into it so I don't get why the media always try and be negative about us

some of this was absolute bullocks, I agree id love to see us endorse more youth players into the setup eg RLC, Hudson-Odoi. The trophies dont lie, we need Roman more than a stable team, look at the most stable team in PL history Arsenal, doesn't always work. I admit that the approach may be unorthodox and at times i have protest sackings on matchdays eg Jose 2nd time and RDM but ultimately in my lifetime of 19 years weve won everything and that cannot be said by many fans of English teams recently.

well even though the hire-fire policy worked, you have got to agree that managers are just like toys to the boards. conte was just a shiny and stuffed teddy bear, only to be played with and now chelsea are just bored of him. i will give my full support sarri, but the hire-fire policy needs to end from him. this just shows how much respect the board have for managers.

He had the biggest possible fallout with one of our biggest players in Diego Costa. He didn't treat him with any kind of respect as a player and he paid the price for it. Diego was one of the most influencial players in our 2 winning campaigns since we've had him, and Conte threw him out like a bag of rotten tomatoes and brought in an unproven striker in Morata. Now we're kind of stuck with him, hopefully he improves, but he's not our kind of player at all. He can't hold the ball up, he goes to ground far too easy, and he's not ready for the main load right now, that much was obvious last season. Conte got himself sacked in my mind, there was no passion left in the end.

We’ve been poor in the transfer market for a while, but most Chelsea fans have no problem with firing Conte just like we didn’t have a problem for firing Mourinho. Our problem is the board and the direction we’re heading in.

All I see is this idea of Sarri Ball. His style took over a year to successfully implement at Napoli and all he was able to do was go on a run that nearly beat Juve. He didn't revolutionise Napoli as much as people think. This idea of attacking football needs to be implemented in the right way. 1 Year will not cut it and Chelsea will finish 6th/7th. Sarri will get fired and the cycle continues. Look at what Klopp has done at Liverpool, plays a better brand of football that has took him 2 years to successfully implement and now Liverpool look primed to challenge. If you want Sarri to succeed he needs to be given the time and money to do so. Which is why Chelsea will struggle again.

The reason people loved conte was bcoz he won 2 trophies in 2 years. But people dont c the reason behind d failure of club in d 2nd season of conte. It all started from that text from conte to costa n then the players hated to play in his system. And then he was not happy even if the d board had provided with d players to him than still we couldnt win or finish in the top 4. Im happy sarri has joined and hope to c attacking football very very soon
